And yet they’re still Belgium. The stepchild of France whose daddy is the Netherlands.

I can only assume that you didn't realize that Trump called FIFA and got a call overturned. Yes, the celebration is political. It would not have been had our politics not got involved.

I said it’s silly for them to be thinking about Trump after a big victory. But THEM doing a dance to antagonize Trump is THEM making it political. Trump doesn’t play for the USMNT. YOU keep trying to make my post political and me being mad at Belgium for doing it. I don’t give 2 shits that they did the YMCA dance. But it’s silly that they are focused on the president of the US. They are showing they really care about Trump. You know who doesn’t care about their dance? Trump
Trump made it about him by being so public about his and his lawyers involvement

pointing out the loopholes

Them dancing to YMCA
in the world that we live in with social media and everything politicized, you think it was Belgium making it political ?

Trump bragged about his involvement

Before they danced

Trump doesn’t play for the USMNT. By “we” you mean Trump. Belgium beat the USMNT and are focused on Trump. I think that’s rather silly. You disagree. Is what it is. I gave my opinion and y’all keep trying to change my point into something it wasn’t intended to be. They have every right to do the YMCA dance, it doesn’t bother me. I’m just saying if I were them, I wouldn’t be thinking about Trump.

They made it political when our president called and got involved in official rulings? Or maybe you didn't know that Trump did that? We made it political and they are mocking us. Deservedly so, they won despite the President getting involved.

It’s not political. They’re mocking the person they think unfairly (whether correct or not) used influence to try to change the outcome against them (unsuccessfully). It’s not a commentary about the Iranian war.

If Taylor Swift had been the one who called Infantino and was able to use her global celebrity status to convince him to reinstate Balogun, Belgium would have been blasting her music all over the locker room post-game in mocking fashion.

And that was more Leopold II trying to replicate the Dutch East Indies Company than anything

The country itself hardly benifited

Huh? I'm guessing you have me confused with someone else. I like Trump. Can't recall a time I've mentioned him other than on the /TV board earlier but that was simply saying I don't talk about Trump I don't post on the Poli board. Don't mention him in the OT. This was the first time I've even commented on this ruling. Didn't agree with the red card but I don't think the president should get involved in the World Cup penalties. That's not a hot take. What a weird comment.

Well your discounting any extra motivation Trump's involvement provided to the Belgium players since they are dancing to YMCA I think it is relevant to this thread/topic

What do you reckon trump did 3 months ago, before they cornholed us 5-2
