Vegas says about last night....

So I'm on my way home, stuck in traffic, listening to sports talk radio and they are talking with some big named oddsmaker in Vegas named "Jay" something or other
He just said that every bookie house in Vegas had Notre Dame a dog to every other team in the Top Ten ... last night. That everyone would have been a lesser fav, from .5 to-7, but that every single team in the top ten would have been a favorite over ND last night.
I missed his name but it was Jay something.
Chris Lowe is on now, I'm not going to repeat what he is saying because it'll just piss some people off and I'm not trolling even dawg fans today... even though Lowe is 100% correct, i mean dead on the money when it comes to Georgia next year. Guy makes total sense.

If you aren't going to tell us what he said, why would you even mention it?

Let me guess...we lose too much on D and with our schedule we'll go 8-4 right? There's no other reason for you to post that how you did.

Should I? Okay. I'm about 30 mins from home, just aboutto get out of traffic. Will do after dinner. He said several interesting things about the entire conference.

Ok now for wasting our time, here are some nightmares.

Okay, well, it was pretty good.
Vegas oddsmaker basically said Notre Dame would be the 9th best team in the SEC and then he reeled-off a lot of reasons why in the eyes of the oddsmakers.
He made a lot of fun of the ACC and said Notre Dame is probably not going to be any better than the 3rd best team in the ACC next year.
Then came Chris Lowe.
Chris Lowe was pretty harsh with the Georgia fans and the program. He said a lot of things that probably were not very complimentary, but he backed them up. He said they are perennial under-achievers. He said he's been talking to a lot of his peers in the media both in Atlanta and in Miami and there is a consensus among them ...
1 - Georgia loses a lot of talent (which they never took full advantage of), and they will have a hard time competing in a much tougher SEC East next season.
2 - South Carolina and Steve Spurrier has surpassed Georgia and no writer that he knows of is going to give Georgia the benefit of the doubt in that match-up any-longer until Georgia proves they have re-established dominance.
3 - Georgia finally has a tougher schedule next season and they need to beat Clemson right out of the gate or else they'll be in trouble again.
4 - Bama is a juggernaut. Either you got them this year or you might be in trouble because they are going to be deadly next year.
5 - A&M is going to have to be very careful of SEC typed payback when Bama comes to town next year, much earlier in the season.
6 - LSU had internal leadership problems this year that started with the Honey Badger and exploded from there. Lowe expected all of that to be fixed before the start of next season.
7 - Ole Miss is a major question mark. Not really threatening anything or anybody, but still, they are out there capable of screwing it up for someone.
8 - Vandy is going to have a very hard time maintaining, no matter how good Franklin might be.
9 - MSU is MSU, always has been, always will be.
10 - Auburn is going to be much better than anyone is giving them credit for next season.
11 - Florida loses a lot more than anyone realizes, but they also return a ton of talent and will be Lowe's favorite to win the East next season, followed by SC.
12 - There are five teams in the SEC next year that could win the BCS MNC.
13 - Lowe predicts that for AT LEAST the first ten years of the playoff system beginning in 2014, there will be at least two SEC teams in the final four.
14 - The only threat to the SEC is OSU and Meyer because he can recruit down here and he knows how vicious and ruthless it is to survive down here. So Cal is not a threat as long as Lane Kiffin is there even though he knows the SEC deal ... he's too egotistical and too disliked to make inroads into SEC talent pools.
Mike Slive privately told a small group that something is going to have to change in the system because the SEC is so dominating that we are causing others to give-up hope and if that ever happens then we'll lose some of our market ... namely, those that hate us. So Slive is going to continue to raise the bar and will not discount the possibility of making it tougher on the SEC in an effort to handicap us some to make other conferences believe they have a chance every now and then. Slive was worried that after this last BC MNC game everyone was giving-up, "mentally," to the SEC and he feared they would attack us through voters and the press rather than on the field.
Those were the shorthand notes I took sitting in traffic. F-u.

PS: I had to go to my mother-in-law's birthday party tonight and I got liquored-up again or I would have been back here earlier pacifying some of you worthless fricks.

Damnit I thought this was on the rant when I started this thread, while stuck in traffic, on my phone.
Sorry to be over here on the TD.
Not sure if a Mod can move it over to the rant or not.
My apologies for any rules or regulations or otherwise violated over here amongst you coon asses.

Hard to win anything without a QB. I think we'll hang around .500 at least.

Dude this guy is an SEC loving hack. The notion that USC recruiting can't survive without stealing SEC talent pools is ridiculous. Also, I'm glad to hear that nobody will have to worry about Oregon the next few years.

No doubt Chris Lowe is a SEC homer, he lives here, grew-up here, follows the SEC 24/7 and writes about them for ESPN every day.
But he's no hack.
Why worry about Oregon? Or Stanford or SoCal for that matter? Matter of fact I don't think anyone in the SEC is worried about anyone quite honestly - but Urbie could be a threat because he knows how the game is played down here.
With regard to Kiffin, he crapped in too many nests down here before he left.
