I watched the game Minnesota dominated Penn State it’s extremely likely they walk in thinking they dominate Iowa while Iowa has nothing to play for but ruining their plans

Based on what?

Have you read up on PJ Fleck? If there's anything I'd be willing to bet on, it's that Minnesota comes out MORE focused. You can call Fleck cliche, amateur, gimmicky, or whatever, but one thing that he does is prepare his teams to win games they should win. Notice how they've gotten nothing but better and more efficient throughout the season?

I get Vegas’ reasoning, I expect nothing less.

What I don’t get is neutral fans who seemingly hope they lose. Everyone complains about all the “blue bloods” and the same ole, same ole every year. Here we are with a fresh and exciting team, rabid fan base (home crowd looked awesome for Penn State), and one of the best young coaches having a banner year. They could disrupt that whole system. Why on earth would people not want these guys to win out and beat Ohio State for the B1G championship? Give us some new blood in the postseason.

I’m not saying they will, but they’re easy to root for imo. Seems like people just like to hate no matter what. Must be a miserable life to not just enjoy a sport you love.

Back in my gambling days I used to have a good theory: If a team wins a game big enough for their fans to storm the field after, bet against them the next week.

So did you usually win these bets?

This is what I don't understand. Aren't we tired of seeing white and varying shades of red in the playoff? Throw in some Gold (Minnesota), Green (Baylor), and Purple (LSU).

I'm sick of UGA, Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma running the show, especially when they don't win their own division (Alabama).

Based on the fact Minnesota football hasn’t been relevant since the 60s, they are at Iowa, and they are kids in college riding high off their first top 5 win in college...PJ Fleck is a great coach hopefully Arkansas doesn’t hire him...but I see Iowa covering...I’ll bookmark this and we can discuss it on Sunday if you want??

No we are all tired of seeing it and I’m not saying Iowa wins I’m just say if you gonna give me 2 points and I have to bet this game I’m taking Iowa at home...I would love to see the Golden Gophers in the playoffs it would be awesome I just don’t see it happening...read my other posts I have them above Bama and Georgia because at this point I’m the season they are undefeated...only team they played was Penn State but I think that is better than what Georgia and Bama has played to this point accompanied by their losses

They are really talented at the WR position and their QB is accurate. They have a fantastic secondary and a stout all around defense. They are disciplined and efficient. This is a football team that would beat half of the top 5.

They also have a massive oline, and probably the best RB depth in the country. With 3 guys who have proven themselves as starters.

But this Iowa team is capable of beating MN if they play well.

rabid fan base

Let's slow the roll a bit. They're rabid in the same way Rays fans are when they reach the ALCS.

ETA: They averaged under 38k last year, which includes a healthy dose of visiting fans. Not what I would call a rabid fanbase.

Exactly, they're finally going to face a legit Big 10 defense.
