Yeah, is it really that hard? You have show ID at a lot of places and most people should have it on them at all times.
Examine if it's a fake, maybe it is a fake, but it could still have discrepancies.

That's a stupid statement and you know it.
Interacting with strangers in groups out in public among friends or otherwise as platonic friends is much different than engaging in a "romantic " relationship with a stranger where you go into another level of contact that requires further trust. Come on.

Well, I’ve made it to 37 pretty well while dating off and on without issue. You can vet someone all day but it’s not nearly as hard as you make it out to be to lie to someone about certain things in dating. We also don’t know how long they were “in a relationship”.
That said, she found out his history/lies and cut him off. What else was she supposed to do to “protect herself”?

They had a relationship for a month and we have absolutely no clue on the extent of the relationship and people want her to go through an extensive background check on this guy

Someone could do all the same things you discussed in a group out in public. I’m not sure how that differentiates. Lying is lying regardless of the medium it’s done through.
