They play like men
This is not a new thing. When my son started high school (he is 25 now so I think that was ) there was a meeting for all the parents before basketball season. They combined girls and boys so both coaches were there and spoke with the parents. The girls' coach went first so we got to hear him speak. He was in his first year there so told the parents to be prepared because he was going to expect and teach the girls to play like boys.
He had been the UL Lafayette women's basketball coach previously. Since then I think they have won 7 state titles, maybe 8. Including the last 4 in a row. Their point guard is coming to LSU next season.
Playing like the men is the winning formula in women's basketball and that means a physical game in college basketball, And these games pale in comparison to the physicality of the men's game back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Gino A. really roasted her team's play several mths ago. And she immediately responded with calls of....."racism".
After the game Sunday at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, Auriemma expressed frustration with the officiating and specifically the lack of calls against South Carolina. He said that guard Lou Lopez Senechal has "bruises on her body," and that the way teams defend her is "not basketball anymore."
Dawn Staley: "I just want people to know that this is us and this is how we play ... Even if everybody fouled out, I wouldn't change how we play and approach the game."

Well here’s the
Problem with yesterdays game. If LSU hacked and tried to pound on Carolina the refs would have called them on it. They let Carolina get away with it… it’s the fouls that are NOT called that gets everyone in a uproar.

They play like men. How they lay up is the biggest example. They lay up technique is what you see in the men’s game.
as it should be for WBB, either you can play and keep up, or you cant

South Carolina got a gift from Tennessee’s awful and unathletic big that stood under the basket while her opponent casually lined up a wide open 3 and banked it in just like they drew it up.

Question is why is she such a bitter person?
Led a nice life, WNBA, gold medal, won a championship, won all these games in a row but reacts to everything like someone just stole her lunchbox.

Whitey has kept Dawn Staley down her whole life and she hates the white race because of it.

Well then, that Final Four loss to Clark and whitey Iowa must still burn in her craw...like tears in rain.

She said this after an Iowa regular season game against some big ten team this year when Clark hit a buzzer beater step back 3 — lolz
"Heckava shot but give the game ball to the ref for the shooting foul call," wrote Staley on X, referring to the controversial whistle that sent Clark's teammate, Molly Davis, to the line in the final minute to help set up Clark's buzzer beater

How do you stop a bully? By punching them in the mouth.
Foul them out of the game.

Hence why they are getting away with it. And Staley has decided she’s going to live or die with the race card. And I think the ncaa is afraid of her.

This feud with Mulkey.
Dawn Staley bullies the opposition, the opposing coaches, the refs and the media to get her narrative.
Everyone sees it and has been talking about it for awhile.
You ever watch South Carolina play? Its not pleasing to the eye. She puts pressure on the refs and media to allow them to win that way. Because calling out thug basketball is suddenly racist. Thug basketball has no color, see Bill Lambiere.

SEC refs are letting it go. We'll see what happens in the tourney.
Same thing happens with Kansas every year. Big 12 refs show them massive favoritism. Then they get to the tournament and flame out because they aren't getting the same calls.
Also this is the problem with college refs, and refs in general across all sports around the world. The human factor. The rules are the rules but some refs will let things go while others will ref it to the letter of the law.

We talking about Dawn or the lizard woman coaching the tigers wearing Halloween costumes on the sidelines? They’re both trash humans

Stifling defense, great use of bigs, and depth that wears down opposing teams. If it was a men's team, you'd love it.

If the officials called every foul they could the game would be an unwatchable mess and simply a FT shooting contest.
Or, players would learn they can’t foul and the cleaner game would have more scoring and be more enjoyable to watch. The less athletic big girls wouldn’t have a role anymore and the players would be a bit smaller and more athletic. The game would be different.

Other than being a black female, I wonder what is pushing all of the elite HS womens players to USCe instead of UConn?
It’s 2024 not 1994 for starters
