according to Stewart Mandel with 12 weeks to go in the season. I love the way the experts like to choose who will play for the national title.

I wonder what the spread would be.

Over the last few years, many "experts" have put LSU in the MNC this early, too. I see nothing wrong with guessing who will get there. That's what's great about being a fan or expert. And, from what I've seen so far, his guess isn't a bad one.

If OU runs the table that will include a Big 12 Championship win against Mizzou. The will be looking really good. There might not be a spread.

OU is usually good for a loss or two a season, hense the term chokelahoma. My expert opinion, or lack there of has the winner of the SECCG vs USC meeting in Miami.

i love reading stewie's mailbag and his other work. i think hes as fair and knowledgable as college football writers go, and i think he secretly likes LSU

Same here. But that is what they get paid for. Most here do it as well. No biggie.

Mandel normally has some pretty good insight, but he must be a premature ejaculator, because thats just what this statement is, premature. USC looks to be the best team in the country right now, but lets not pencil them or OU for that matter in the NC game yet.

I disagree, if an SEC team goes undefeated, they are in ahead of OU. OU has lost its last three BCS games (to include Boise State)and everyone remembers what happened the last time an SEC team was left out to allow OU to play USC in the championship.

That's what I predicted preseason, and the 1st few games have made reaffirmed my prediction.

OU vs USC . . . . . in miami . . . . . part 2 . . . . . oh boy!
Hint: Take USC minus the points

Oklahoma will not beat Missour in the championship game this year.

You've gotta love the threads about USC wallpapered throughout TD.com. At least 2-3 threads on the first page of almost every board. Just when oine goes away, poof, another replaces it. What is up with that?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Remember the last time these two got together to decide the title? Damn, what an embarassment.

OK.....what then....
the 2 above go undefeated
LSU goes undefeated.....
How would / could the "voters" deny an undefeated National Champion from defending its own title???

Seems very beleivable and he is hardly original is stating so. These are decidedly the 2 teams that have strong teams and an easy pathway (OU's schedule is not nearly as hard as most contend).
