It was a close second round which I think Lawlor won and Lawlor gased in the third round.

Damn second fight in a row that should have ended in the first.
Efrain got worked in that one though.

Impressive ground work by Dunham

Yea and to stay in the fight. Yea he had him in a bad bad position to say the least.

Does Maynard get a shot at BJ if he wins?
Posted on 1/11/10 at 10:16 pm to skullhawk
Diaz won the third. No clue on the first two. Too close to call.

I thought Diaz was the aggressor throughout the fight. Not sure who won honestly. Pretty close

Maynard wins split
I think it was the right call, not clear cut though

I feel we all lost watching that fight. I've never been so split I witch guy I was pulling for. I was hoping for both of them to lose.

BS Diaz won that fight. Look at Gray's face compared to Nate's.

I'm fine with Gray winning the first two because they were too close to call but one judge gave Maynard 30-27. Diaz clearly won the third. What are these judges watching?
Maynard is always involved in boring fights. There are not too many UFC fighters I dislike more.

Loved how they kept saying "maybe BJ Penns next opponent." By that showing it would be a poor fight. Entertaining watching BJ kill someone, but poor overall. After opening a vagina on Sanchez' forehead.

god, glad i didn't watch it.
Pretty big MMA fan, but Maynard is painful to watch. I figured only he could make a fight with Diaz boring. Good to hear he didn't dissapoint.
at least KBeezy brings it.

It was fun... Honestly that sherdog article doesn't do the fight justice.
I hurt him multiple times on the feet. Hard body kicks, legs kicks nearly knocked him down, couple of hard uppercuts.
Ultimately I couldn't stop his take down and he is a world champion bjj blackbelt. So he would bait me to try to sub him, then try to pass. In hindsight I should have let him
because each time he passed I would scramble back up, or he would try a sub and I would escape back to my feet. Instead I was worried he would sub me or something, so I fought for guard hard, and allowed him to grind out minutes in my guard.
It was a good exciting fight though. You guys would enjoy it if you choose to dload it on UFC on demand

Btw, I reinjured my right hand in the first round.
So I fought the rest of the fight with a friggin balloon for a right hand... Thing is scary looking

That's not how they judge fights.
I agree with the decision. And I hope BJ beats the piss out of Maynard.
eta: although 30-27 is crap
eta2: I was really impressed with Dunham.
