Florida isn't a conference rival.
It's also the best move for Tulane because it makes the candidates more willing to take the job. When you're a steppingstone you want to show everyone you'll accommodate guys who keep you ranked.

I don't disagree with that on either front and think both AD's made the correct decision.
I was just stating that the ascertain that no AD would let a coach and staff stay for the CFP after accepting a new position was being dis-proven this cycle.
I agree with both decisions as it makes Tulane more attractive on their part, and conversely Joey Freshwater staying on would make he and his staff look better and be a negative to Ole Miss.
