Do bars show fight pass events? I don't think any in my area do.

The ufc wants/needs to build up this potential international superstar with a big mouth, yet they have him headline some bullshite arse channel no one even has.

And that sucks about Khabib, but I didn't want to see that fight materialize anyways....

Probably not since it's streaming via the internet and it starts at like 11am

I usually firstrow them

You are a huge UFC fan so why not just pay $10 a month for fight pass? You get a lot of live fights, in the future you will only get more, and you get access to every UFC, Pride, Strikeforce and WEC fight ever....as long as it is 60 days old. If you like fighting, and I know you do, then you will LOVE it!!!

I definitely agree with you, and for only $10 it's most certainly worth it. I'm just against the whole principle of it, as the ufc is being greedy imo. They are at least a decade+ away from being ready to have a paid channel. These shitty cards with international fighters, up and comers, and relative unknowns should be free (fs1, fuel, fs2, ufc.com, YouTube streaming, something).

When they're still paying fighters $6,000 per fight & selling only 120,000 PPV buys they should be doing everything to broaden their fanbase, not charge more & more. And that includes putting all of those old fights from decades past on YouTube for free as well.

jmo, but I'm hardheaded

You are a true poet.

I couldn't agree more.
It's the exact fricking reason I won't pay for it.

UFC still has too many fricking cards. Two a month should be it.

Hardly any make that and most top fighters, that people follow, make a few hundred thousand a fight and much more if you count the undisclosed bonuses. Shitty or boring fighters don't deserve big $ in the UFC. Also, you say the UFC is being greedy but as they bring in more revenue thru things like fight pass they can afford to pay their fighters more and have a larger roster, its just great all around.

Meh, I like the cards and usually just watch a few of the fights, the ones I am interested in. The old fights are fricking awesome. Before a big fight I can go back and watch all of the fights both fighters have had, it makes the big PPV fights WAY better!

Actually pretty much all new signees ( except big names) make $6k to $9k to show.

quote:

Corey Anderson: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus) def. Matt Van Buren: $8,000
Eddie Gordon: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus) def. Dhiego Lima: $8,000
Derrick Lewis: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus) def. Gian Inocente: $8,000
Dustin Ortiz: $28,000 (includes $14,000 win bonus) def. Justin Scoggins: $12,000
Kevin Lee: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus) def. Jesse Ronson: $8,000
Leandro Issa: $15,000 (includes $7,500 win bonus) def. Jumabieke Tuerxun: $8,000

I can't even imagine being a fighter and what a toll it puts on one's body. It would be hard to justify killing myself for less than 6 figures/fight. I'd bet the majority of the UFC roster gets paid less than 20k/fight, and they have 3 or less fights per year. These are the bottom to middle tier fighters, and I doubt they get much in endorsements/sponsors.

So $60k a year is shite for what they go through. Take away taxes, take away gym fees and trainer costs, take away the thousands spent annually on food/supplements alone, etc etc.....how much are you really left with?

Most of these guys are doing this because they love competing and it's just in their nature.....or because they don't know anything else.

Tough business to be in.....part of why I respect these fighters so much.

I haven't used first row before. You got a valid link to this fight? I only seem to run into a shite ton of ads on the site.

Helwani is being so dumb for these Irish fans the past week on Twitter. I'm about to unfollow him, it's unbearable.
