Wonder if TKO will start calling the numbered events Premium Live Events “PLEs” like they have for WWE after they stopped the PPV model. My guess is yes, as it would provide corporate synergy

The writing has been on the wall with the battle against pirating the UFC PPV events. I believe it was destined to happen when I heard the reasoning behind putting Canelo vs Crawford on Netflix, and UFC's ESPN contract was up at the end of the year.

I’m gonna miss Dana’s empty threats and claims he’s got the FBI waiting outside people’s homes who are streaming it

You can also get Paramount + through 247Sports if you’re into recruiting.

I would imagine the Fight Nights would be on CBS, but the numbered cards only with the app service with the prelims simulcast.

This is probably true. But it should really be the opposite. Best way to reach massive audiences and attract more casual fans is to put your best product on broadcast TV.

I guess the question now is, will Paramount+ raise their price due to this?

So many years of hopping from stream to stream after the one I'm watching fails. And being able to easily watch cards on demand the next day if I don't feel like staying up will be awesome.

Now everybody can bitch about all the ads during the broadcasts.

How much are people willing to pay for Paramount+ if it comes with UFC events? $20/mo? Can or will they go higher?

It's gonna go up for sure. And all the partners they have right now (T-Mobile, Walmart) are gonna start dwindling.

I read $8 a month or $13 without ads. That has to be part of the 7 year deal. Cant imagine that can legally change Until J1 2033.

Why would you think they couldn’t change that? UFC isn’t negotiating for how much paramount can charge for the product they just purchased.

They may wait a few months but you will certainly get a “our pricing is changing” email in the next year

I don't think they raise prices at the beginning.

Well Im no expert but a contract should reflect all pricing as well as price bumps. Thats true of any contract ive ever seen. Unless im missing something, how is this any different?
