My read on it is he went in injured and threw that dumb arse kick to hope to get a miracle Aldo type knockout but I could believe that he was hurt on the kick or wouldn’t rule it out
Rogan going so hard trying to definitively say he was hurt on the kick was either just him coping on such a dud ending or him actively covering up something fishy. He was being so adamant that he tore an ACL on the kick but the replay doesn’t really show that clearly at all
ETA or maybe he asked AI, he thinks AI is god

Conor was definitely hurt before he got in the cage.

Might be basketball now. We've seen how many players and a referee go to prison for rigging games.

McGregor clearly won that fight.

He is not “definitely limping” in that video.

I don’t think he took a dive or he was injured. I just think this was a freak accident. It’s not a good look he didn’t at least try to fight through it and go out on his shield though. Carlos Ulberg just did and won.
He did look nervous and not like Conor before the fight. During the walkouts I was thinking “this dosent feel right, his walkout if normally way more hype”. It felt like he was just coming to lay his gloves down and give a proper goodbye to the fans, and I think he was about to get worked even without the knee thing. This coming from the biggest Conor fan on here.

Conor McGregor UFC tickets are the most expensive in MMA history. Prices for his massive fights, like the recent UFC 329, start around $1,000 for "get-in" seats and average over $1,500. Floor-level tickets regularly range from $4,700 to upwards of $24,600 each.
Dana should 100% issue some sort of partial refund

I think he somewhat did, but he ended up falling down 3 times over the next 60 seconds. Max said that Conor was yelling for him to fight after he had fallen fwiw

Yea it’s not like he did the jump kick and then just laid there.
He popped up, did another kick and then once he got up again he tried to throw a punch and fell again.
The struggle with the shoe was interesting, but he ran out pretty hot to start.

I honestly have no clue if he was injured before. The stuff as he was getting into the cage doesn’t mean much to me. I do that exact thing every single morning when I put on my shoes. He did seem much nervous than usual, but I think that could just be because of the pressure and time off. But at the same time, Conor is a well known shitbag so it wouldn’t really surprise me at all if he hid an injury either.

Yea, agree I think people are looking too much into the prefight emotion. He might have been trying to not have the adrenaline rush so you got a more somber type of walk out than usual. It’s been 5 years, he is on the old end of a fighters shelf life anyways. Then you add in the last time he was in the octagon he shattered his leg. Plus he has more money than any ufc fighter ever and is absolutely living up the life. This had recipe for disaster all over it with pre fight injury history, long lay off, his new life style. It’s a lot different getting up early and training when you need that fight to eat and live vs sailing around on a yacht and fighting for fun.
The rest of the card was full of exciting fights and UFC will be just fine with its roster. No one is going to match peak Mcgregor energy but paddy, suga show, Strickland and the Hulk are all entertaining in and out the octagon.

Yeah it’s callled putting on a show. That was some WWE crap they pulled last night. He was injured before the fight and that con artist scum bag got his check

Holloway calling for a trilogy. shite is just a joke at this point. No one wants to see that.

It’s more dramatic for people to imagine a big conspiracy, but the more likely reality is that Conor was dealing with a ton of nerves being out of the fight game for so long, probably knew he was about to get rekt by Max, and then suffered a freak accident doing a flashy kick in the cage. It’s not inconceivable at all that his 38-year old, PED-ridden body broke down trying to add to a highlight reel.

In that warm up he is doing that kick, clearly isn’t getting nearly as high as he did. The simplest thing was he planned to start the fight with that, he probably wasn’t expecting to get up that high. The impact was too much for his body. He likely knew if the fight got past round 1 he was in trouble. Max has been fighting consistently while he has been retired for 5 years.
