Y’all are really letting this masvidal hype train and his charisma lead y’all to believe that he’s gonna win? I think burns makes easy work of Jorge. Admittedly I’m not his biggest fan, so I’m ready to see this schtick end. He’s a career journeyman with a hell of a promo team. He’s not the underdog I’d pick on this card.

I think a lot of fans would like to see Masvidal and Edwards, but no way the UFC can justify that match if he loses.

I agree Masvidal is far more hype than substance but I'll be watching to see if he can shock the world.

Dude got hands and power and a rabbit foot up his arse. Def worth putting him in a parlay at +380. Even late in the fight vs colby he had colby wobbly legged. Dudes scrappy.

This. Masvidal has been living off that Askren KO, hasn’t done shite since unless you want to count that stupid arse “bmf” fight with diaz. I hope to god he dosent win so he dosent get that undeserving title shot, the guy isn’t even ranked in the top 10.

I watched his whole interview on Rogan’s show. He hates Covington with a passion and vows he will beat him before his time in the ufc is up, that shite ain’t happening He also voiced his frustration at the ufc giving him so many wrestlers knowing that’s his weakness. They got on the subject of politics and he seems like a MAGA guy though which is cool

I think pereira wins again, he just has Izzy’s number. But it just feels like he’s a place holder until he fights somebody with a ground game then he’s fricked

I predict he leaves this weight class after this fight

Masvidal is delusional

Coby completely rag-dolled his arse 50-44, Usman stomped him out twice, etc.. yet here he is thinking that he deserves a title shot after three consecutive losses

I like Masvidal, but he's only a half step better than a journeyman fighter. I hope he wins and has a late career resurgence.

Same can be said about colby. He is 2-2 in his last 4 with his wins against masvidal and woodley. No big draws at 170 so the ufc is gonna milk what they have since khamzat cant make weight. If khamzat was able to make 170 he would probably be fighting for the belt against leon.

I think Belal by merit should’ve got the TS. But since he’s not marketable, he got shafted. I think they might feed him to Shavkat and if Nomad wins, give him the TS.

Yeah and belal likely would beat leon, colby, or masvidal. I think he beats shavkat also.

Not sure why but im expecting something crazy if masvidal wins. Like a colby vs masvidal interim because leon doesnt want to fight colby. On the international fight week card in july of course. It just makes sense yo have those two fight again with the drama assuming masvidal wins. Whole situation seems strange with colby with dana guaranteeing him the next title shot. Dana never does that. He got some bs in the works.

Maybe the behind the scenes Colby is telling Dana “give me a TS and I’ll drop the charges vs Jorge”.

To be fair to Colby, both losses were to Usman. Whom, at the time, many considered the best active P4P fighter.
Not saying Colby is amazing, but comparing him to Masvidal right now isn’t apples to apples.

yea and those two losses were against the (at the time), pound for pound #1 Usman ... Colby also arguably won the second fight on the scorecards as well.

regardless, Masvidal's sorry arse shouldn't even be ranked in the top 15.... he has damn near 20-losses and is a one-trick pony.

also.... here he is, yet again... today after the weigh-ins trying to fight on the street like an animal because he knows he can't win in the cage.

LINK

TMZ Sports ... Holland was the one who Jorge Masvidal was trying to go after outside of the weigh-ins on Friday morning. According to Hodak, Holland simply told Masvidal, "Sup, baby girl" -- which caused the 38-year-old UFC star to become enraged.

Usman wrecked this dude twice, Colby took his soul, and now can't wait for Burns to end his career tomorrow night

I could see that but he and Colby would be a good matchup.

Shavkat is scary good. IMO, only match for him at 170 is Khamzat and vice versa. That is assuming Khamzat could make weight.

Yeah the top 4 p4p fighters all lost in less than a year. That p4p is made so ufc can hype up their marketing campaign. If I gotten a dollar every time I heard “p4p” or “goa”t during an event, I’d have enough to buy TD.

Since I'm poor and following the UFC costs so much, I've pulled back a lot, but I love MMA.

My respect for Adesanya went up a lot after his fight with Gastelum - that was a legit war. And I admired his effort going up to 205. I like the guy. But, I don't know what his chances are tonight. I didn't get to see the first one.

I miss the old days when the UFC didn't have so many events. In the old days there would have been weeks of talk and analysis on this title fight. But now, there are just too many events and I don't think these big fights get enough hype and analysis leading up to them. But, it's a business, so I understand they need to make money and volume is how you do it.

I love having ufc fights almost every weekend. The quality of fighter is so much higher now than even 5-10 years ago.

Another great thing is we dont have just one fight to talk about we got 5-6 very good and intriguing fights on this card, minimum. I am more excited about yanez vs font more than adesanya vs peiriera
