There were claims made that she could beat Ray Rice in a fight. Running back, not DE

I've seen people on THIS board say she could whip an NFL defensive end because she's "trained"
No you haven't
Yes, I absolutely fricking have. Why the hell did you think I came in this thread and poked fun at that silliness in the first place?
These same people are certain that Manny would whip a defensive end too.
They're fricking mental.

They are. I'm willing to bet they walk around within 5 pounds of each other.
Mcgregor has routinely cut to 145 to fight. Diaz has NEVER fought at 145 and has had difficulty even getting to 155. Diaz couldn't hit 145 short of going full anorexia.

Well, Conor went with a speed/power approach...

But, I think that even Conor under estimated the impact of fighting a naturally bigger person and didn't fight as smart a fight as he should have.
Diaz certainly isn't overwhelmingly bigger and a smarter fight probably takes him.

I'm the size thing was that big of a deal. Conor mentioned some of his strikes came up short, but it was really just Nate's skill at avoiding the kill shot and his ability to eat shots that have hurt others. Conor had one plan without any alternatives, and his plan wasn't working.

His chest measurement is about 46"
Watch video of Rousey throwing Tate.
Rousey puts her arms around Tate while controlling her wrist with one hand.
LOL. Rice weighs 80 pounds more. So, that cool hip shift where she pulls Tate with ONE arm over to the side? Yeah. Good luck. Holding on to his wrist with ONE hand? Yeah. Good fricking luck. Oh, and yeah, when she put her arm "around" Rice to start that throw, she'd be lucky if her hand extended much past his fricking spine on the way to trying to get her arm around his side.
He would frickING KILL HER!

He made a plan based on his experience. Unfortunately, he not experience in dealing with a fighter of Nate's size and length.
I agree with you that Conor COULD have overcome the size issue. But, I think for him to do so, he's going to need more experience in actually dealing with fighters who bring more length and bulk to the table.
It probably didn't help that until two weeks ago, McGregor would not have been training at all to deal with extra length of fighting a man 3" taller because Anjos was 5'9".
What "lands" on a guy with less length is a miss on the taller dude.

Mcgregor was definitely having to reach further out to land on Diaz.
He was going for kill shots to the temple rather than picking him apart and crushing the body and legs. It wasn't the game plan that has been proven to beat Nate before. Even RDA went to decision with him. The Diaz brothers are tough cusses. McGregor believed he could murk him like everybody else did because Nate's been so up and down and he's a functioning retard who appears to have all sorts of brain damage.
I love it for Nate, I love it for underdogs and I love it for anyone that has been marginalized. Life really is stranger than fiction.

Dear God. I didn't catch the one about the Raiders tackle.
6'8", 321.
Probably has a 50" chest and wrists pushing 11-12".
Rhonda wouldn't even be able to grab the guy. He'd literally just stand there while she climbed all over him trying to move his arse.

Dude we posted this gif of James Harrison and he said it didn't matter. She would sue technique and balance. I believe he kept saying the football players would be a "fish out of water"
