That does suck.
Based on that picture, he has some huge hands.

Damn that absolutely sucks
UCLA was one of the best stories of the year and a potential playoff team.

Was he actually playing? I honestly haven’t followed him.

Believe it's his little brother. Who was a very highly rated HS QB as well.

Is he the one who left Tenn, and missed out on tons of money?
The next Chambliss? 6 years, lol

Nope. Medical redshirts were eliminated with the new 5 for 5 rule. But this is only Nico's 4th year, so he's still got another year of eligibility anyway

He wasn't exactly lighting it up as the starter. They might be better off with the backup
62% completion percentage. Averaging about 164 passing yards and 24 rushing yards per game. 4 TDs against 4 INTs on the season.

They played some other guy as the backup this past week with Nico's brother as the third string.

Is that the guy who left Tennessee?

The other backup was pretty good. Big white kid. The game was the most entertaining game I have watched in a long time. Between Nico and raoila the game was drunk for 3 quarters

Is this play what caused the injury?

There was an endgame sequence that was really interesting. UCLA had the ball 2nd and one with a stopped clock and like 2:05 left. Oregon had only 2 TOs. To save some time, I’m pretty sure the Oregon coach had them intentionally jump off sides, forcing a first down with no time coming off the clock. That made it so the 1st down play ended with the 2 minute stoppage. Oregon had two more timeouts to try and force a punt. It was actually really good clock management. Unfortunately, for them, UCLA picked up another first down and was able to kneel it out.

That seems like a multi game suspension from the conference is warranted.
