From my experience, a lot of those teams are built on training up technique rather than having raw athleticism.

All of my kids ran for Coach Dupe. This is accurate.

Episcopal recruits, but not at the level of U-High or most of the other private schools in the area. They don’t have these ultra high profile athletes like the others do

Dupe also has the integrity not to cheat.

He once sat his star runner for state in 1996 and lost the title because he wasn’t going to pull strings for someone who violated rules, no matter how big the meet.

The LHSAA tells you if you are eligible or not before you start to play. I've been through this with a kid of my own. So somebody lied about an address is all I can figure. But, why does it take this long to figure out?

I guessing someone turned them in.

U High has given up scholastic integrity to buy wins. The roster is filled with kids who in past years would not have been able to get into the school.

It's shocking the kids that U High has now. I'm talking character, not talent. We have played both Madison Prep and Uhigh this year. The Madison Prep kids were much more polite and better sportsmen.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Prep beat U High on Thursday.

Public schools do the same thing but have gotten sneakier about it. Now they bring them into the system in 8th grade so they have a full 4 years to play and keep it under the radar.

Beyond sad any of this goes on. So much of what High School is about is lost on this winning championships. Imagine going to a school your entire life. Paying taxes in a community your entire life and then they recruit some kid from another town/area to play over you. They are not the same religion as you (catholic schools etc) or from your town.

It is sad. I hope all these coaches get exposed.

Episcopal has really not been recruiting like they did in mid 2010s. Once EHS started beating Uhigh in like 13' and 14' (it was not often) UHigh said F this and took it to a whole new level.

They took it so far that they had to go to 3A and have not played EHS since. Ruined a fun rivalry in all sports. Losers.

that changed around 15 years ago when they brought in legit college talent from NBR with transfers coming in as 8th and 9th graders. The first of the bunch was Nick Brossette, Garrett Brumfield, and Tim Williams. All three played SEC football.

all you have to do is proof of address and find someone to do that for you

Yeah but it didn’t stop there. Next thing you know Dylan Moses transferred over to UHigh, and Uhigh went and got that coach from walker I believe.

Don’t you find it interesting that he(that coach)left UHigh right after Gordon’s son graduated?

It’s because he knew the gravy train was running out. It’s all connected to U-High getting pulled under LSU’s financial wing and the skeletons getting cleared out.

The head of school and dean of students at UHigh both got the boot and the football coach got out of dodge. Rats fleeing from a corrupt ship.

Isn't this basically the whole point of having "Select" schools?
they still have the same eligibility rules to follow - out of zone students must sit out a year

Will Uhigh have enough points to sneak in to playoffs? Now
Sitting at 27 ( top 24 in) with only a 4-5 port Allen team left to play.

If you think this is bad, wait until a team comes forward about them having a guy who sneaks to other people’s campuses during the week to watch practices and steal signs. On game days he’ll be a coach in the press box that radio’s it down to the coaches on the sideline.

Saw a vehicle leave our practice field and recognized the guy on staff, approached him about it and he said he was there to watch his daughter play volleyball

Martin calling out our plays to his team on our first offensive series is very fishy beings that we have 3 guys who flash signals every play.

U-High has been doing this for around 15 years now, and at a scale greater than all the other schools in the BR areas.

Doing what? This wasn’t a recruiting violation. It’s an eligibility issue.

I think EHS only beat them once and it was in like 2010/2011
