Drafted by the Chiefs, is now the best returner in the NFL, going to the Pro Bowl and is a fan favorite in Kansas City.

I think most people have forgotten his stint at Ok state.
And that incident happened after he had a badass punt return at the end of Bedlam to tie the game and they won in OT

Gundy, unlike Stoops, dismissed him immediately after that.

Former Bears GM Jerry Angelo: "NFL teams hid hundreds and hundreds of domestic violence incidents during my 30 years in the NFL."

People care, that's why ratings continue to drop.... it ain't targeting, bad officiating, Roger Goddell... watching thugs beat and rape women and get rewarding with million dollar contracts because
they're fast, or big and strong! NFL is shite because there's too many shitheads playing in it.... and college football is right behind it.

just like the Ray Rice and Joe Mixon video.. what were people expecting to see?

its like people have to see it to lose their minds.

Lawrence Phillips was POS but there was less social media in his day.

so not as many cared then either

The only thing Jim Brown did better than football, was beating women

So many incidents. And yet he is considered a humanitarian to that generation

I don't really get this argument. Of course people will get more upset when there is a video. It makes it 1000x worse when we can visually see a professional athlete knock a woman half their size unconscious.

And in today's age, public figures are going to be subject to much greater scrutiny with their private lives. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. These athletes are role models and public figures, and because of that they will be held to a higher standard. Just because other athletes got away with in the past doesn't mean we should continue to let them do so today.

I'm not saying that people like Joe Mixon don't deserve a 2nd chance, but the fact that he was allowed to stick around at OU, even after both the HC and AD had seen the video is pretty bad.

but why? In the Ray Rice case for example, I'm pretty sure the video of him dragging her out of the elevator and she was unconscious. Like wtf do you think happened?

agreed. But the pitch forks should have come out when it happened. The girl had a broken nose and got pretty fricked up. You don't need the video to know it was bad.
