Riden Jordan ran the anchor leg for Full Throttle Track & Field to help set a new national record in the outdoor 10-U boys division for the 4x100 relay with a blistering time of 50.04. Jordan was fueled by his twin brother, River, who cheered him on during the race.
“He said, go Riden! Do not stop!” Riden Jordan said.

The four boys on the relay team previously set a national indoor record for the 4x200 in Virginia Beach with a time of 1:54. In early August, they traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, for the AAU Junior Olympics with the same goal.
Bry’cen Ross started the race, setting the tone for the team.
“I was excited; I was jumping up in the air. I was so excited because I knew we were about to win it,” Ross said.
“It was cool when I got back home everybody was saying congratulations, and I was a big part of it,” Bridges said.

Landon Bridges said the team is tight both on and off the track. “They’re all cool, they’re good teammates and good friends,” Bridges said. Coach reflects on the work behind the win Talitha Jordan, mother of twins River and Riden and the team’s coach, said the boys’ effort has paid off. “You see the time, effort, and dedication these boys put in at practice. Sometimes they’re vomiting, they’re overheated, they’re crying because it hurts,” Jordan said.

Too bad they're going to have to give up track for travel ball soon.

This is an awesome accomplishment and an exciting time for the boys, but are coaches really pushing 10 years olds this hard for sports?

Looks like the old record may have been 51.63. Top 3 teams in that race all beat that time:
Full Throttle - 50.04
SH Speed Houze - 50.96
Mainland Jaguars Track - 51.08

Maybe I’m not in it to win it enough, but this seems excessive for 9 year olds, Coach.
