I'm a huge Saints fan and I missed the onsides kick in the Superbowl because I wanted to watch the Who perform at halftime before I drove from one Superbowl party to another.

As a Saints fan I have often not watched Saints games because they seemingly play better when I don't.

During the Minnesota Miracle game I cut it off when the Saints got down. Well, my ploy worked until the fricking Miracle play.

I turned it off because I had to put my boys to bed and I thought they left way too much time on the clock. I was pretty annoyed they didn't make a better attempt on the 3rd down before the fg to help run out the clock.

The disbelief exploded on Twitter as it happened and I just put my phone away.

I had to go back to school with 2 outs in the top of the 9th of the 86 ALDS game 5.

That was pre-social media. I didn’t know for about 4 hours that Hendu homered off Donnie Moore and beat the Angels.

Near miss:

I kept leaving the room for Kirk Gibson's HR because his swings looked pathetic and as a Dodger fan and a kid, I didn't want to see a lame weak strikeout to end the game...and watch the A's celebrate.

So I paced in and out of the room. When I came back into the room, I saw him swing with one arm...and couldn't believe the ball went out.

My Dad and I were jumping up and down.

I don’t think I’ve missed any really big plays. My dad on the other hand… He left the room to get a beer when the immaculate reception happened.

I didn't miss it, but two guys that went with me to the Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks fight were buying beer at the Reunion Arena concession stand at the 91 second mark when Tyson knocked out Spinks. I think we paid $25 or $30 to watch it on a big screen there.

'10 Tennessee thread on the rant, everyone turning the game off at the botched snap and missing that LSU got an extra play and won it.
I turned it off thinking LSU lost, and went to bed. Had chest pains that night, and at work Monday. Went to the doctor on Tuesday. Had a quadruple bypass that Friday. Saw part of a replay of the Florida game at 2 am, after my surgery. Had complications and didn't see another game until Arkansas the week of Thanksgiving.

Yea, our power went out right before that last play. We rushed to find a radio, turned it on and we hear “JACK HUNT! JACK HUNT!” We were so confused lol

My dad and I were running cable in our attic all morning but still had tv and took a break to watch the game. The final tv timeout he decided it was time to get back up there. 3 minutes later I’m up to my elbows in insulation and I here my mom screaming from the living room.

I told him that day I’ll never cut off a game until the end again.

My family went to a Giants @ Astros game in 2011 and my brother had to take my little sister to bathroom. While they were in the bathroom an inside the park home run was hit by Jose Altuve which was actually his first career home run in the majors.

Bluegrass Miracle. I think I had gotten frustrated with the game and turned it off. Still regret it to this day.

Bluegrass miracle.

Was so pissed off. Walked out and heard my mom screaming and cheering. I’m like God she doesn’t know a damn thing about football

This.

I was grabbing a beer out of the fridge because I never give a shite about the halftime show, when my friend who I was watching the game with suddenly starts yelling “her titty flopped out!!!”

First, I had no idea what he was talking about. Then, because he was a constant over exaggerator, I figured he was lying. This was pre-Facebook, Twitter, social media, DVR (for me, at least), so there was nothing to confirm his story right away. To prove he wasn’t lying he called his dad and said “did you see her titty fall out?” To which his dad replied “you saw it too?!! I thought it was her titty, but couldn’t tell.”

It was at that point I knew he wasn’t lying, and I was pissed I missed it

The no-call pass interference against the Rams. I was actually watching the game, but I had to go use the restroom. I was only gone for 10 minutes, and by the time I came back, it was in OT. So I had no idea about what happened until after the game.

You claim to understand that they can’t hug every child and that they are in costume, then immediately (with zero supporting evidence) accuse them of embarrassing a kid and that you would be upset, too. This is a good one. I was about the same age. I literally stepped away to go into the kitchen to get some nachos. As I'm in the kitchen, all I know is the living room goes absolutely wild. But by the time I came back in to see what happened, they already cut to commercial.

At school the next day, one of my friends brought a print-out of Janet's nipple, and was passing it around class. I had no idea how he got it, but I definitely wasn't complaining.

namath v stabler. 2 of the top teams in the AFL. they started the movie on time.
I never saw the end of the game.

The Game That Started the Montana Legend

Mom dropped me by off at church, Manning had 3 TDs at half and were up 35-7. Was so pissed that I oversleep and didn't go in the morning, until I found out what happened.
