Tough shite. The NBA should cut ties with China for their treatment of Hong Kong.

As far as I can tell this is a Houston problem. Not the NBA’s as a whole.

It seems like they are doing what Turkey did in regards to Kanter. The Houston games will not exist in China during this ordeal. There will be no games, no box scores, etc...the franchise will essentially cease to exist.

After the response of the Chinese government banning the Rockets and forcing Chinese businesses to sever ties, I’m fully in the frick China camp.

No NBA team should be forced to toe the communist China party line. This is America.

Except it’s their country their rules. Maybe Tillman wants their money so he will play by their rules.

I mean it is America so Morey and Tillman can do as like.

Are you an American? Do you remember what country used to own the lands you stand on?

I’m saying this is America and no American business should bow down to the Chinese government for $$$.

The NBA as a whole should take a stand because that’s not the way they should treat a business partner.

But if Tillman wants their money he has to bow down. That’s all I’m saying. I don’t care what he does, it’s his choice.

France and the US bought it from them. So the US played by their rules to purchase it. It wasn’t a war.

The amount of Chinese bots on Twitter is truly astounding. Thousands of people in Morey’s mentions “supporting” the Chinese government

All forms of communism need to be destroyed on this planet

Do you want to go to war with the Chinese? Are you familiar with their brand of authoritarian communism? Because unless you’re willing to actually get with the rest of the people that “stand with Hong Kong”, and go to war with the Chinese, nothing will matter or change.

The Chinese government isn’t going to have some miraculous change of heart and grant freedom to this country. They don’t give a shite about anyone.

Although I think it would have been much better if Tilman called Morey and told him to take it down instead of publicly calling him out on Twitter. That’s what caused it to blow up.

If he called him and told him to take it down, this would have just went away quietly and it wouldn’t have even been a story
Tillman had to have a public response bc this was a public issue. You can't be seen as doing nothing on some issues. That's PR 101.

PR 101 would be the NBA pulling out of the Chinese market.

So if Morey didn’t tweet this the NBA could have continued to turn a blind eye, but now that he did they feel forced to address it because they could lose Chinese deals?
