He reminds scouts of Mahomes in college. That's a fair argument. You weren't calling Mahomes the most talented qb ever when he was at Tech. There's a lot of revisionist history with Mahomes.

Its like the Joe Burrow and Tom Brady comp when he was coming out of LSU. Nobody is saying Joe will be better, just that that play similar, have certain traits and similar measurables...
if its about style, he is closer to kyler murray and lamar jackson. the mahomes comp is artificial hype drummed up by the media.

Nobody is saying he’s more talented. Everyone is just saying that the playing styles are extremely similar, which they are.

SoCal isn’t Alabama, where the overwhelming number of residents are natives. The majority of people that live in SoCal and the Bay
Area grew-up in other parts of the country. There are a lot of sports bars in California that cater to transplants, especially from the Midwest. Same with NYC.

what about their styles is 'extremely similar'? he does not throw it as well as mahomes nor as flashly. he is not as good in the pocket. mahomes is not as great an athlete as caleb. so go ahead and tell us what's so extremely similar.

Mahomes was a gifted qb at Tech, but in a crappy offense and overall team. Can't imagine what our seasons would have been like without him. Now that he has the tools around him, he is incredible.
This guy is not like Mahomes at all. He has all the tools in college and is good, but not great, Heisman and all. He reminds me of a poor man's Tua. And that may be being too generous. I like the San Jose qb better, honestly. Reminds me of Vince Young a little.
