It won't. There is too much to gain from these violations. I can't even imagine how much goes unknown and unpunished. Tressel has a track record with things and it didn't stop him. Ohio State has a track record with violations and they still happen. I don't think it will ever stop.

They are screwed for this year IMO
The best option available at this point might be to dismiss Tressell and appoint one of his assistants to interim head coach
Then do a proper coaching search over the next 9 months and have your new staff in place 2-3 months before recruiting day (hopefully NCAA can fully resolve the case in this time too - JT gone would be a significant step towards lessening punishment IMO)
It will be pretty uncomfortable this season at tOSU no matter what you do at this point tho.

You'll likely see JT step down and admit no fault, I expect OSU would then look to Jim Heacock for 2011 and then in 2012 for them to make a perm higher.

It's strange cause Tressel appears to be a good guy. He sells out for a guy that really hasn't done anything out of the ordinary. You won your most recent NC with a program guy and this "star" has brought nothing but misery. Now, he's cost you your coach.

It's extremely hard for me to dislike Tressel, but Ohio State needs to learn from this and move on. As for Pryor, I don't care for him at all and won't be sad to see him leave after this year.

If you can't look at the outcome of the Bruce Pearl situation and realize that Tressel is screwed, I'm not really sure how to help you.
