After this latest news, it is time for Ohio State and Jim Tressel to part ways. I have a feeling there is still more to come.

While I agree that it's unlikely that harsh penalties will be assessed against tOSU or possible Tressel himself, I hope that it would happen and that it would help stop these types of shenanigans from occurring.

What direction will tOSU go when Tressel resigns in the near future? I keep hearing the "Urban Meyer bought a house in Upper Arlington" talk..but not sure how I feel about him. Do they hire within, go after a big name or look at someone that has had success at a smaller school(like Tressel)?

Buckeye fans have a sour grape from the 2007 game. But if you want a guy who will win you titles, is familiar with the program, and recruits like a madman (florida crims), then OSU should hire Urban

I really thing Urban Meyer will be the next Ohio State football coach whenever Tressel leaves. I don't know why I have that feeling, I just do.

Meyer is an excellent coach but he started fraying hard at the edges towards the end of his Florida tenure IMO
Better to cherry pick another outstanding up and comer than try a burned out coach IMO.

If Meyer really did resign for health reasons (which appears to be the case), then it is unlikely that he'll take the job.
tOSU is actually a little behind the 8-ball on this one as most of the coaching changes have already occurred. If they grab the coach from a smaller school after spring workouts they'll really be screwing them over.
