Head coach is making the call on who they offering and recruiting hard bud. It's amazing how people just wanna throw stuff on O. Hell I'm a Les supporter and wasn't happy with the O hire but facts are facts. Not getting the kid is on Miles.
However, I am not giving someone a complete pass who was recruiting coordinator for a players entire high school career, and interim head coach from september in the players senior year

It's a weird inside-out looking stride, like his legs make a horizontal circle travel path. It reminds me of ice skating. It probably lowers his top speed a little if that's believable, but I imagine it boosts his lateral power and cutting ability. That last play where he twisted his ankle looked insane in Slo-mo. There was so much torque on his ankles on every step when he was trying to make the corner I'm amazed they both didn't snap.

The kid soured on LSU bc Miles slow played him and went after Akers. Miles was the HC dude. If Miles would have let O put the full court press on him I bet he'd be in P and G right now.

Dabo's a hell of a recruiter. Gets a kid from La., Ettienne, Alabama, wide receiver forgot name, and a kid from Mass., the dlineman, all give big effort last night. A sophomore, freshman and a graduate who wanted another shot at Alabama.
They also have two WRs from Knoxville, one being Tee Martin's son, Amari Rodgers.

To be fair, no one could have known what Travis would turn into. We had CEH who was more highly touted and were going after Akers. That's not a terrible strategy.

Also it's very unlikely he'd be the same guy at LSU, especially if Les is still the HC. I'm hard on them for fricking it all up but those speed backs come to LSU to will and fade into obscurity

Reminds me of Harvey Williams

He twisted his ankle on that last long run?
As to his recruiting, it was over when Dabo showed up in Jennings after winning a national title.

I’m glad he didn’t come here, for sure. I think next year will be the first year in awhile that this is a good destination for someone like that.

It might have been the series before, when they were near the endzone. It wasn't too serious apparently, but when he got up after being pushed out of bounds he was jogging a little gingerly. They showed the slo-mo and it looked like it twisted on a plant when he was cutting up-field near the sideline.

FIFY.

O begged Les to offer Etienne for a long time and he wouldn't make the call because he was dead set on landing Akers. By the time O offered him himself, he was already long gone from LSU. You can spin it however you want in your head, but the fact is Les and only Les fricked that one up.

People Jumped for joy when O became recruiting coordinator But now when you bring it up they say it’s a cerimonial position that the HC controls everything for
Head coach has the final say. Period.
Head coach MAY also direct who what when where and how to recruit positions and individuals.
Are you stupid?

And we cream our pants at new RC hires because?

Yeah, and I was wrong. CEH wasn't rated higher. What a whiff by LSU spending all their time trying to flip Akers.

He signed with Clemson without ever visiting the campus.

They're able to bring in the recruits that the head coach prioritizes?
Its pretty simple. Boss says to go after targets X, Y, and Z. Deprioritize A, B, and C. On the boss when we don't land A, B, or C.
