The owners will make that money back twice over and the players, who are sole responsibility for ALL the franchises value and profits, won't see a dime of it back. In fact, if the tax gets too high, they might just trade Klay or Dray.

Maybe so... but just two months ago, if that, D'Antoni was blaming Melo.

D'Antoni coached Melo that very same summer on Team USA where Melo rocked the Olympics.

But hey Melo was spotted training for fast pace offense today, so it must be all good.

I'm not sure that workout had anything to do with his trade prospects. I also have no clue why that workout video blew up like it did. Was it because it was almost 2am in the morning? Maybe he just got back from Europe and his sleep schedule was out of whack so he decided to just call in his personal trainer and get some workouts in when he was feeling awake. Either way, I don't understand what was comical about it.

It wasn't because those Knicks execs were "allegedly" laughing at Melo's workout?

I mean, from what can be seen it kind of does look like its Melo's workout but I can only guess they were laughing at the time or maybe he looked slow?

On the Melo front, it seems that it's all up to New York. Houston has made their offer, which NY doesn't really like. And Cleveland has made their offer, which NY doesn't really like either.

It's all on them. Either they make one of those trades, or keep an unhappy Melo, or finally cave into a buyout.

As for Houston, Daryl Morey said today they are pretty much done with free agency. He said he's holding on to the de-facto TPE and the BAE for opportunities that may arise at some point during the season. No sense in using them just to use it.

He may be looking for 1 minimum signing to round out the roster, but for now, it's pretty much set.

Yeah, word is NYK wants to hire a president first. Might be weeks at this rate before anything is certain.

Just feel like a buyout happens sooner rather than later. Feels like in the NFL when teams leak that they're shopping guys, hoping to get a 6th or 7th rd pick and they end up getting cut a day or two later.

Gordon Hayward will sleep on his decision to go to Utah, Boston, or Miami, I'm told. Another July 4 declaration it is...

I think Hayward was gone but now realizes what he has in Utah. I think he stays. He lives in San Diego the beach angle us over played

Denver can be a spot depending on how things go with gallinari. I'm not really well versed on what their cap situation looks like
