I just thought the money was the issue, but I forgot they signed Gibson so maybe they are completely out. Guess they would use that cap room to sign someone else

That makes no sense. I would think he wants a long-term contract after the numbers he put up last year but who knows. Maybe that wasn't enough for GMs. Lakers would be a good team for him to go get his shots for one more year

Yeah the Lakers have been telling everyone only one year deals. Maybe Waiters is willing to bet on himself idk.

Magic and Rob Lowe have lost their god damn minds if they offer Waiters multiple years considering what's on deck next summer.

Hayward to Miami?

Ira Winderman @IraHeatBeat Dion Waiters' meeting with Lakers is curious after meeting with Heat. Could be that Waiters doesn't see Heat having (leftover?) money.

How do they even stay off of that path? They would have to just dump Thompson and Green for picks and expiring deals. I can't imagine them going past this season with those figures.

I've got to believe they're in a year by year basis now. Which begs the question; if they repeat then what?

Would you pay half a billion in tax for 4 rings? I think I would. Worst case you kick Klay to the curb right?

Most people own sports franchises as a hobby, not as a money making investment

As long as the value of the franchise exceeds what the cost of keeping them together, I'm pretty sure they'll keep it going.
