Jackson and Sharpton don't understand because they think black people shouldn't have to follow the same rules that apply to everyone celse

knowingly fielded players who lived outside the team's residential boundaries and then tried to cover up their deception.
So.....they broke the rules and got caught.....now it's white peoples fault.

Weren't they turned in by another "inner city" league from Chicago that lost players to them?

Wouldn't surprise me. Jackson and Sharpton have always blamed the white man for black-on-black crime.

This residency rule seems lame.

The point is that they all have to be kids from the same playground. If that wasn't the rule, it would be like a "select" team where a team can get the best players from anywhere. That's not what Little League is about.

Secondly, it doesn't matter what you think the rule should be. The fact is that they knew the rule and they cheated.

You either cheated or you didn't. Standard punishment for cheating is stripping your title

blame their followers. they will not die with these men. African americans need leaders that teach independence, hard work, ethics, citizenship, etc, etc. the present leaders preach dependendence and failure.

this team cheated and got caught. they are being held accountable for that. it is what should be done and in todays world it actually takes courage to require the African americans to follow the rules because one will be called racist and no telling what else if they treat them equally.

equality is some one earns, not gifted. it is my hope that new African American leaders emerge that will preach the correct values.

I hope LL succumbs to USSA even more now. Should have been checked before every tourney phase they were in. Also stripping a title from the kids was harsh. Suspension of the coaches and director should have been enough.

Well this is comical. It does suck for the kids, but I doubt they really Care. Because in their minds they are still champions

I don't get why the parents aren't mad at the team coach and organizers because their kids are getting punished

which suggests they knew the scheme as well.

While i agree that the kids worked their butts off and the adults are mainly to blame, these kids had to have known some of the kids on their team weren't legit. Just like the Almonte case, those kids on the team had to have known that Almonte was 2 grades ahead of them in school. Again, what they did on the field was great in all, but cheating is cheating. The only kids i feel sorry for are the ones that got cheated out of the chance to play in Williamsport...black, white or brown.
