I agree. I saw nothing to indicate the ball hit the ground. I am not a Cowboys fan but that was a horrible reversal.

Yeh HG I agree with you. It can go either way. No right or wrong answer. Which shows how terrible of a rule it is. To put "football move" in a rule is ridiculous

What about when Dez has both hands on the ball, with the ball against his chest? Then while extending the ball the right forearm is down.

The biggest thing that matters is that the ruling on the field was a completed catch. The official saw enough to consider the catch made and a football move made.

The official also had no idea he lost the ball. The guy was worried about whether or not it was a touchdown, and was not watching to see if Dez completed the catch.

The only reason the ball was in his left hand is because he switched hands to make the stretch which is a football move. Especially considering he took three steps.
He could have just held it against his chest with his right hand but he wanted the TD right then.

After that gif, that was a horrible call, he had control with 2 feet touching ground

He literally got hated on bc he has big hands

They are arguing that it was indisputable that he did not make a football move, which is nonsense.

Clearly it wasn't a catch. They ruled it incomplete. Come back to reality. It's safe.

Another great point, how is switching hands not a football move?

That he made a football move or not is so debatable shows that under replay rules this should have never been reversed from whatever the call on the field was. How do NFL officials forget the basics of replay in these situations? No way was it "incontrovertible visual evidence" for that call.

Yes. I say it's a catch. If rule says that's not a catch then they really need to change the rule. That was a hell of a play by Dez there.

What exactly is a football move anyways? Is it defined in the rules? In my mind, 3 steps and a stretch is enough of a "football move...falling down or not."
