I think Gronk was hungover so he has some participation issues.

He is probably the most talented tight end in league history, and is still less than 25 years old.

It truly is an enigma to me because I watched that E:60 and wanted to say "What a douche" after seeing it, but for some reason I found it to be (acceptable is maybe the word I'm looking for )...it's weird and hard for me to explain. He really does come off as this obnoxious, goofy douchebag, but then it's like he's 25 and just having fun with the life he's living and enjoying the blessing he's been given and you can't really hate on him for that. I guess maybe it's because he so consistent. You can just tell it's his personality and he's always like that. I don't really hate people that are ALWAYS one way. If he was trying to put on this act of being a mature role model and then did that goofy shite, yeah, I'd really hate him. But it's not like he's pretending to be anything other than what he is. A young football player in the prime of his life having as much fun as he can.

Agree so much. You can call him a douche, obnoxious, fratstar, jock, anything like that and probably be right, but he had no pretense. Thats what he is and he doesnt try to be anything he is not. Dude just loves ballin and partying it up, and you just have to respect that because its exactly what any of us would do if we were in his position

There's no doubt Davis is more athletic but is he a more talented TE? Gronk's route running, blocking, hands, and ability to read coverage trump Davis's IMO. I wouldn't consider this talent but Gronk's arm length and extra weight are an added asset as well.

He probably meant talented plus living up to their talent so that crosses Davis out.

Gronk's a great player but the constant media dicksucking over him being a caveman retard is over the top.

Ok, I would probably concede that point, Vernon is insanely athletic.

Gronk has superior better hands though and thats why he is the best.

Dont get me wrong , I like the guy. He played here in Tucson and I got to see him regularly out at the clubs on Friday night then on the field making Defenses look silly Saturday morning. He is not your typical role model citizen but WGAF.

I take exception to Jcorey constantly slobbing the knob of any Patriot in any "best of" discussion so I like to give him grief.

Yeah, he's basically just acting like all of us in High School. It's like he realized that "shite, I'm being paid millions to play a game, why the frick should I change at this point?" I envy him in a lot of ways. I wish I could have extended my youthful ways as long as he has.

meh .they both have some dumb drops. Id say Gronk is the better TE at the moment but that could change once Kaep and the offense looks his way more. With Brady and his check down dink and dunk passing game its VERY tight end friendy.
Also helps to not have one of the best RB (gore) in the league.

If we are arguing who is the most talented , my thought is they are both equally talented. None more so than the other.

Davis Gronk
all other TE's

yeah. he gets shite on because of the gronk persona.
I respect the guy. He is one of my favorite non 49er players.
I just have a hard time saying he is the most talented at this stage of his career. Imagine if he was all football all the time?

Dink and dunk? The guy has averaged 14.2 yards a catch over his career. Keep in mind this is playing TE. No offense man but when it come to playing tight end, Davis is practice squad compared to Gronk as of now. The next closest guy is Graham and he's still a good bit behind.
