How the frick is Notre dame 4 and us 9
For the same reason Bama was #4 last week and LSU is 9 this week, Brand recognition.
Name me two bigger names in college football that get the benefit of the doubt more than Notre Dame and Bama

Iowa, by résumé, should be ahead of Baylor.
Just so much inconsistency, though.
Iowa being in the top 5 is ridiculous. How the frick are they ahead of Oklahoma State?

The committee has done exactly what people wanted make a 8 team playoff.
You guys need to look at the complete way they're making elimination games.
Carolina is about to make a huge jump also if they win next 4.

Not 5 spots though.
I agree Notre Dame should be ahead of LSU, but it's pretty close.
4) Notre Dame
5) Oklahoma State
6) LSU
7) Iowa
8) Baylor
That's how it should be based off of résumés

2-0 vs top 25
i told ya top 25 wins matter, not sure why it continues to be ignored

I don't understand, who has Notre Dame beat of any worth to have a loss and still be so high?

I'm ok with LSU dropping. And I'm ok with people think ND is better than LSU. I just want consistency.
How is it that LSU, Bama and Notre Dame were all in the same scenarios...one loss teams to highly ranked teams (except Bama), strong SoS...Bama gets benefit of the doubt last week with the #4 spot...and now Notre Dame gets the same preferential treatment this week being at 4, all while LSU gets dropped to 9.
It's asinine.

The Notre Dame hate is ridiculous

I laugh that FSU didn't drop at all after losing to Clemson. They are trying so desperately to pump the Acc up

Same record as LSU against top 25 teams as LSU and didn't get utterly embarrassed in their one loss. LSU strength of schedule is brutal from here on out, but not even close up to date compared to Notre Dame.

only when they want it to.
They knock LSU down to 9 because they "looked bad" against Alabama. However, Oklahoma State looks amazing against TCU, and they keep them at 8

I need a Briles meltdown during his appearance tonight

Because the committee is inconsistent.

So if Bama loses by 1 to Miss State this weekend on the road, where do they drop?
