What a terrible tournament.
Koepka is a piece of shite. Prolly on roids, probably a nerd/gay, and just a trashy POS all around.
FOX also made this as trashy as anything ever associated with golf.
Just pathetic. Unreal.
frickin trash all around.

Let's just say this...faldo wasn't even there this weekend.

I normally lock it in all weekend for majors and I barely glanced at this crap. 41 pages is an abortion for a major championship thread on the MSB. Let's hope Birkdale has something for us.

Why bother?
Who cares?
This was complete trash from top to bottom. Faldo wasn't there. I wasn't in this thread.
Coincidence?

I wasn't here either. Watched maybe 20 minutes of the entire tourney. Time to grow up.

Why did they go out of their way to make the US Open look exactly like the British Open? That place looked like fricking Royal Carnoustie. US Open my arse

Erin Hills isn't a links course.

I feel like I haven't seen a tree at a US Open since Pinehurst.

Fair enough but

Some may say Erin Hills is a gamble from the United States Golf Association (USGA). On a mammoth 7,693-yard course, an incredibly heavy rough—sorry, fescue—lines a wide open fairway without any trees in sight, and known for its unpredictable gusts of wind.
For some, the Wisconsin course looks more like the venue of a British Open rather than the 117th U.S. Open major championship. In fact, Jon Rahm, the Spaniard who is ranked 10th in the golfing world, described it as playing “like a links course on steroids.” He added, as quoted by the BBC, “I think it’s [the] U.S. Open, they expect our best.”

Well, you're not getting one next year either. Shinnecock, a US Open staple, is a similar style to Erin's Hills.
That's what's comical when people complain that "links" style courses (even thought EH isn't a true links course) shouldn't be in the US Open. Some of the original US Open tracks are this style of course.

I really wouldn't mind seeing trees on a US Open course, USGA needs to stop hoping for firm, fast greens and gusting wind in order to be a real challenge

I agree...time to put US Open back at the Marion/Olympic type of courses.

Going to tear up the pros with the wind and wicked fast greens. Winning score will be 5 under.

They have to mix it up. All the new courses that are creating buzz are Erin's Hills and Prarie Dunes style courses. The USGA would be stupid to not work courses like this in to the rotation 2-3 times every 10 years. Shinnecock is the only course like this in regular rotation and they brought it back in 8 years because of it.
I love the traditional US Open courses, but 2016 Oakmont and 2014 Pinehurst were the least viewed final rounds in 30 years. Casual golf fans aren't really interested in that anymore. It's going to piss off the purists, but the USGA has to do something to mix it up and keep TV ratings and purses up.

Remember when the pundits and the press was saying Marion was going to be tore up by the pros prior to that Open because it was a short trek? That course thrashed the pros.
