To put it in context Nike hit its all-time in late Feb, which was still below $70 a share, it has kept going up.
Has hit an all-time high somewhere around 10-12 times this year.

You’re telling me a boycott from a bunch of guys who wear sperrys or lucchese didn’t affect Nike?

Duh.

Smart people boycotted.

Idiots went out and bought more Nike shite to show support.

There are more idiots than smart people.

Nike knew exactly what it was doing and played on the emotions of the people. It was a brilliant move by whoever pulled the trigger for them. Free publicity and obvious bump in stock.
I am not a CK fan nor was i before the kneeling and am still not today.

You think a vast majority of the world gives a shite about any of this controversy except to make bank on it? EMEA and Asia PAC are eating this up.

Financial institutions know what a company should be worth more or less. They have controversy actions programmed in.

Nothing more ignorant than the stupid facebook post logic around stocks trading at all-time highs or lows because of minuscule political crap

Let me give you a bit of a broader view of the trickle down effect that CK is having. He wants to protest police brutality against minorities by kneeling during the national anthem. There are several other avenues that he could’ve taken to protest this. Now, out here in BFE where I teach at a middle school with almost exactly a 50/50 breakdown racially among students, we have a handful of black students who refuse to stand for the pledge of allegiance in the morning. Their parents told them they don’t have to. 12-13 year old kids being taught hate (and that’s what it is) by CK’s actions.

When welfare and food stamps come beginning of the month it will probably eclipse $100.

I know plenty idiots who went and bought Nike stuff out of spite.
