I have zero problem with him monetizing his name. But I can definitely call him an annoying attention whore.

I'm not saying people shouldn't respect him. I'm just surprised that there are people who want to throw down $200 for a bat signed by him, a sport he doesn't even play. An accident? No I think it's something ESPN is definitely doing on purpose. He's a one of the greatest CFB Players of all-time and a very polarizing figure. So is Lebron, doesn't make either of them attention whores.

You don't think Tebow has crafted his image so that he could maximize his time on ESPN? He just happened to get insanely lucky that he was a polarizing figure and gets a ton of air time despite the fact that he sucks at what he does?
