The Broncos in the last two years are 4-14 when Tebow doesn't start, and 5-3 when he does start

Look at the same numbers for the Titans when Vince Young started vs when he didn't.

It's the same thing, except Young can actually complete a forward pass in the NFL.

So just because he can't throw, they are winning "despite" him??? Despite what he averages, I mean Orton could throw and they could not win.

They are winning with him and wearing teams down running 3/4 backs including Tebow. Last week they won with their top 2 backs getting a combined 8 carries.

3-1 as a starter

Congrats, Tim, your team beat some bad teams

Those bad teams were beating them earlier this year without Tebow

quote:

When your QB can't complete 50% of his passes, the team is not winning because of him.

When your QB rushes for more than 100 yards and adds in a touchdown rushing and another touchdown passing, he is helping your team move the chains and keep possession of the ball.

quote:

When your coach only calls 8 pass plays in an NFL game, your team isn't winning because of your QB.

17-10, final score. Looks like the coach called the right plays to win. If Kyle Orton was in the game they probably would have called more passes and thrown more interceptions.

And that offense is winning games. Tebow can run the ball and makes their running backs better with bigger holes because the defense has to adjust. Knowshon was terrible with Orton at qb but was actually pretty good when tebow was in.
Its ugly. No one denies that. He cant throw well. No one denies that. However their offense is doing better and they are winning games. The only thing that has changed is the qb and their offensive gameplan because of him. If the team could do better and win "in spite of him" they would have won with Orton at qb.

But the running game won't be as effective because the defense isn't worried about Kyle Orton running the ball. You have to admit that the Broncos running game has improved dramatically with Tebow helping the running game.

Watch how they do without their top two backs in the upcoming weeks.

I can name about 29 teams in the NFL that losing their top two running backs would hurt. What's your point?

I still don't think Vince Young was as bad in Tennessee as everyone claims he was. Regardless, he had a decent team around him.

So all of a sudden the Broncos are a good team that are winning in spite of Tebow? Have you looked at what he has to work with on offense?

He might have the worst pass-blocking o-line in the league, and name me one team in the NFL that has a worst combination of RB/WR/TE weapons than Tebow has to work with. Maybe Colt McCoy.

Just curious, but why do you dislike him so much? I know he's polarizing, I just don't understand why. Is it his personality? It's not like he's overrated or anything. Anytime he is discussed on ESPN, they say stuff along the same lines as what you posted. Just wondering

To be fair...

This is a better group of teams:

quote:

vs Oakland 310 yards offense, 3 turnovers, controlled ball 27:25 minutes

vs Cincy 318 yards, 2 turnovers, 30:15 minutes

vs Tennesse 231 yards, 2 turnovers, 29:06 minutes

vs GB 384 yards, 4 turnovers, 26:59 minutes

Their offense with combination of the two:
vs SD 275 yards, 1 turnover, 19:52

Than this:

quote:

vs Miami 308 yards, 1 turnover, 34:17 minutes

vs Detroit 312 yards, 3 turnovers, 30:26 minutes

vs Oakland 412 yards, 0 turnover, 31:51 minutes

vs KC 313 yards, 0 turnover, 33:38 minutes

Don't mind me, I'm a Tebow hater. I want his arse gone.

Why do the "talking heads" insist on labeling Tebow as the worst NFL quarterback ever? Let's just look at this season, which of these bums would you rather leading your team than Tebow?

Matt Moore
John Beck
Curtis Painter
Tavaris Jackson

That second group is influenced by GB perfect record as well

Oakland = Oakland
Cincy and Detroit probably equal each other
Tennessee is better than Miami and KC
and GB is better than all

Tebow: 7 TD, 1 INT (passing only), 2 rushing TD's
Sanchez: 14 TD, 9 INT (passing only), 2 rushing TD's

Don't know about you, but I like a 7-1 ratio.

He's a bad quarterback.

Period.

I don't like or dislike the guy. What I don't like is the bullshite, lazy argument of "he's a winner", etc.

fricking John Skelton is 2-0 as a starter this season. Is he now a "winner"?

Sanchez can complete over half his throws in a pro style offense. Tebow can't.

Tebow is a terrible quarterback. There is no way around that fact.

Didn't Tim Tebow help to lead the Broncos back from a 15 point defecit with less than 4 minutes in a game just 4 weeks ago?

are you talking about the dolphins game?

and 5-3 when he does start

this year they've beaten the dolphins, raiders, and chefs when tebow starts. 2 horrible teams and 1 ok team (without a QB)

let's see what they do against the jets' D

We are going to get embarrassed on NFL Network tonight. I just hope we get 100 total yards of offense with the Tebow lead offense.

it's a "new" offense for NFL Ds. they will adapt (like with the wildcat) and crush this offense

and let's remember the dolphins and chiefs don't have amazing Ds. and the raiders are built around a secondary to stop teh pass. none of those 3 teams has an offense, so ball control can work

let's see what the broncos/tebow do against the jets, chargers, bears, pats, and bills

Sanchez isn't a good quarterback IMO. I think Tebow can improve more, but I figured that new passing motion wouldn't work. That's the sort of thing that the body is conditioned to do when in game situations.

Sanchez has made back to back AFCCG appearances, so the winning games argument is kind of weak. I do think Tebow is the ultimate competitor though, and that can have a positive influence on the team. No way he compares to the good quarterbacks in the league though

Rooting for the Broncos just to see the media meltdown (ok, I lied, I'm a closet Broncos fan because of Von Miller more than anything).
