He is first said to have serious injuries, but then it changes to only minor facial injuries. However, even though his injuries are only minor, it still takes him two whole days to "recover" enough to be able to talk to police.

Yeah, I mean they already stated that alcohol was not a factor....so no way does he just hit a fire hydrant and then smash into a tree unless something else was going on.

Yeah, I could see her chasing him, and that's why he crashed.
I could even see something like they got in the fight before, and then he/they decided to have him crash his car into the tree as the reason to explain his injuries, to avoid controversy/questions about it (not like he needs to worry bout the $$).
But that entire story that he just randomly crashed his car is a complete lie.
