Augusta plays well to risk takers, that's why Phil and Bubba both have won multiple times there. It's a do or die course

No it's really not, I have been there. It's all about placement on the greens and putting. If you notice Augusta seems to the be only place bubba makes putts.

There's nothing do or die about it. Be accurate off the tee and even more accurate in your approach shots. When one misses the green, that's when 5 and 6 come into play cuz getting up and down there looks nearly impossible.

I love the Tiger hate.

Golf is a sport that can be played at a very high level for a long time. The greatest ones are those that understand how to modify their approach as their body allows them to when they get older. The days of the Butch Nitro swing are over. The days of being able to contort your body to overcome a bad knee while slaying strange on the reg are over.

Tigers biggest problem is in the 6 or so inches between his ears. He's not "done" as so many of you hope, so long as he can figure that out. He's still a pretty sound fundamental student of the game.

So the fact that he's almost 39, gone though multiple swings & coaches, hasn't won a major in 6 years, and the top players no longer fear him aren't factors?

He'll win at Augusta again. He's in the top 5 and within striking distance year in and out there.

A lot of people in this thread are starting to get it. Two, three, four years ago - I was laughed off the board for saying Eldrick is dead.

I laugh at all those idiots now.

He is too old and broken down to return to any prior, aggressive, swings!

Yup. A couple years ago we were labeled haters. Not saying you and me, but like minded individuals. Some tiger fans still just can't let go.

I guess it's "good for golf" that they don't though. Because once they realize it's not going to happen they will quit watching I guess.

Yep, years ago I remember reading a Golf Digest article from Lee Trevino stating that Woods had a very aggresive, hard golf swing and that he needed gear back or he would wear out before his time. Woods has bad knees and probably has major back problems as well. Plus his mental game is gone.

No doubt he is one of the all-time greats in golf but his glory days in golf are pretty much over.

I think Woods may sneak in one more major somewhere and win a few more PGA tournaments here & there but I think his glory days as the top golfer in the world are over.
