I don't think Tiger is catching Jack no matter what he does. But I think he'll win another major or two. He'll get hot with the putter again like he did early last year at Doral and Bay Hill, only it'll be at a major. More than anything else, his putter was responsible for his incredible run from 1999-2008.

I think Bubba has a chance of winning another green jacket before Tiger.

The two aren't mutually exclusive

Agreed

he just plays well there for whatever reason

Augusta plays well to risk takers, that's why Phil and Bubba both have won multiple times there. It's a do or die course.

If he can just get number 15, I like his chances. There's so much pressure on him in majors that if he could just win one it'd go a long way. I really don't know if he will win another though.

Seems to me he has the Rafa Nadal dilemma, which is that he needs the insane amount of practice/reps to feel confident, but insane amounts of practice/reps wear on the body.

that's a pretty good assessment ...

lol it's a do or die course? It plays well for a person who can move it right to left at ease. That's why Phil and Bubba win there.

i think he's def done as far as a us open ... but i do think the british open is his best bet ... he can't overpower a golf course anymore, and you don't have to that every year in the british ...

Exactly. In fact, I think it's a dream course for Bubba. He can hit his controlled fade 350 yards and have wedges into those greens. A right hander has to play a hook, and a miss with a hook can get away from a righty a lot easier.

Nah it plays well to risk takers. Who is the last conservative player to win the Masters? And before you say Adam he is not conservative the way he plays his ball.

Zach Johnson, Trevor Immelman, Mike Weir, Charl Schwartzel all within the last 11 years. Before them Mark O'Meara. Hell, Faldo won there 3 times and he always played it safe.

I would not call Z Johnson conservative, or TI for that matter. I'll give you Weir and MOM

He layed up on every par 5 the week he won, and he deliberately strategized to do that. It doesn't get more conservative than that at Augusta. They have the shortest par 5s in major championship golf.

I'm talkin about his overall style of play. I like him b/c he normally doesn't pussy foot around greens.

Oh my god. He shot a 77!?

The fact that he is a choking basket case in majors is so damned compelling. His putter and nerve have failed him. I never thought that would happen.

Jack and 5 majors seem curing cancer now.

Yes but the record was not going to happen and I am a Tiger fan. He might get 1 at Augusta and a stray somewhere at the PGA or British O.

His putter wasn't the problem today, getting to the green was.

I think he only had 2 putts inside of 15 feet for birdie today
