I think if you’re 21+ and have been a “big football fan” for quite a few years, you should know who this dude is.
I would bet that most people under 30 that don’t study football have no idea who he is.

The 90s cowboys, pretty much everyone from those teams is known.
Otherwise I’ll go with Ironhead Hayward (RIP), and Mike Alstott later in the decade. Back when we used to draft fullbacks in fantasy football lol.

Julio Franco
It seemed like his career started in the 70’s and lasted until the 2010’s so he may count for multiple decades.

Not a name that’s associated with the pros but I came across Victor Page’s name a couple days ago and considered starting a similar thread to this one

Juuuuullllliiiiioooo!! I can still picture his odd batting stance after all these years and remember him as one of the few bright spots for the horrendous Tribe teams I grew up watching in the 80s lol.
I was fricking livid when he was traded to the Rangers after the 1988 season for Odibie McDowell and a few other stiffs smdh.
and ofc in typical Cleveland fashion Mr Franco not only became a perennial All-Star in Texas, he was the AL MVP in 1990 and won the batting title in 1991 IIRC
Indians brought him back to Cleveland for the 1996 season as 1B/DH and he was a solid offensive contributor for the AL Central champs.
