it’s about LSU fans not accepting who and what Burrow is.

He's a legend, a Heisman winner, National Champion, producer of the greatest QB season in SEC and CFB history and soon to be #1 overall pick. That's all LSU fans care about.

What I am curious about is how badly you will take it when Tua is a success and Burrow is not

The real question is how you will take it if it's the opposite If Joe Burrow is the next JaMarcus Russell or the next Peytpn Manning will not change or in any way diminish what he did at LSU in 2019, so if he doesn't pan out, no one at LSU will care.

which always seems to be the case when comparing LSU and Alabama.

What is this supposed to mean is a poor lil Gamecock having to live vicariously thru Bama since Clemson has done what USCe could never come close to?

As far as the NFL, LSU players have done at worst as well, if not better than Bama players.

Acting like any prospect “is” someone or something in the NFL, instead of a potential range of outcomes, is really stupid. I’m not going to waste my time arguing with someone who thinks that way

If Burrow turns into Alex Smith and Tua becomes Marcus Mariota, does that mean you win or lose? Because I kinda think that means you lose.

the brilliance of his position is that anything short of Pat Mahomes or at least a SB win, he can claim victory. If you look at the QB's drafted #1 since Peyton Manning in 98, most have been busts. The only one that could make the Hall is Eli, who i don;t think should, but may because RINGS!!!! Newton won an MVP and got to a SB, Luck derailed by injuries, Palmer may been as well. Goff, looked promising in 2018 regressed last year, too early to tell on Murray, Mayfield trending in the wrong direction, the rest, pretty much crap.

So odds are in his favor especially with Burrow going to a shaky franchise like the Bengals. What's funny if he thinks this will be some crushing blow to LSU fans, what. sad pathetic existence that he has if he lives for being able to "rub it in the face" of strangers on a message board, if our legendary QB doesn't become an NFL super star

And we're supposed to hate Tua.

Although Tua seems generally liked by everyone.

For bad teams, I’m almost always a fan of trading back. Teams “pay” huge amounts to move up in the draft so the benefits to drop back drive long-term value. There is too much randomness and “misses” even in the early rounds for bad teams to not actively look to trade back. The addition of multiple first and second round picks dramatically improves the hit rate odds and sometimes marginally impacts the “quality” of player.

For example, the Bengals trading back to anywhere in the 5-10 range does very little to impact the quality of player they are getting. They could still likely get the #1 player at his position for every spot on the field except QB with less variance in production than the QB spot offers.

False. Every lsu fan would cry because they've realized their "legend" was nothing more than a system QB

Well if that’s the case then LSU will keep churning out seasons like LSU just had and no one will be shedding a tear over that.

Any other QBs you re-evaluate their college careers based on NFL success?

If Burrow sucks in the pros, LSU fans will cry because... why exactly?

Did Florida fans cry about their multiple national championships because Tebow was milky dogshit in the NFL?

Gonna lean towards no.

Seriously, we’re “debating” the clear cut number 1 prospect, the best since 2012 and the guy who may be the 4th QB selected.

This is a little wrong. Tua would be in the running with Burrow without the hip injury. I agree the hip makes him less attractive, but not in the way you're suggesting.

It makes Tua much more of a boom/bust prospect. There's a big difference between Tua and guys like Herbert, Love, Eason and Fromm. They're in the conversation for 4th best due to play, Tua's there due to health, not how he's performed on the field when healthy.

You guys are so jealous of LSU its hilarious.

Nothing will erase the 2019 season so Burrow's legendary status among LSU fans will never change no matter what he does in the pros. He will have a statue in front of Tiger Stadium. His number will be retired. His Heisman will always be on display. Anytime he comes back it will be to thunderous applause.

For crying out loud, Astro fans circle the wagons and they are accused of cheating to win. Fans of countless college programs that had titles or great seasons stripped still defend their players teams and You think LSU fans will be devastated because some jealous fans call Burrow a "system" QB like that's some kind of smear

My guess is you guys are butt hurt because LSU proved you wrong this season by winning it all, so now you lash out.

2 of them make the "QB is the least of your worries, You have so many holes you are this QB will jsut get killed like your last QB> Focus on More picks" arguement

Hall reminds people that being fast is often more important than being smart.
