I agree. Joe is elite , but damn the Bengals need so much help it’s ridiculous. They are like the 88 Cowboys. Trade him and get 4 picks between rounds 1-3. Then trade one of those for 2 more mid round picks. Now you can build a team. They will be bad again this year. Draft a QB next year. Get value and picks now.

If the Dolphins offer their 3 first round picks (5, 18, 26) plus a fourth round pick, would the Bengals take it? I think they would at least consider it.

You are always in these threads pretending that Burrow didn’t have a 2019 season. You are always pointing to his 2018 numbers like it’s some sort of argument

People do realize that the Cowboys rebuild started after they took Aikman with the first overall pick and then took Walsh with a first round supplemental. They gutted around them and flipped Walsh to the Saints. They started with a QB..

Make the additional pick a 3rd and the Bengals absolutely would/should take it.

I don’t think CIN will trade 1st pick but let’s have some fun here!

MIA trades #5, #39, #141 & 2021 2nd rd to DET for pick #3

MIA trades pick #3, #18 & 2021 1st rd pick to CIN for #1 pick.

MIA would have:
2020
#1
#26
#56

*still have a 1st & 2nd rd pick in 2021

Thoughts?

If I was the Bengals GM, the value would have to be overwhelming to make the move. You are losing the ability to pick who you want, if you move down to 3 or 5. You probably lose out on both Burrow and Tua.

If you refer to the value chart (LINK ). The 1st pick is worth 3000 points. To move off, I'd need to get close to double the value, so 5000 to 6000. The 3 1sts and 2 2nds are only worth about 4200. So they would have to kick in a 1st or 2nd next year. I just don't think they would pay the price, but I wouldn't take any less.

Joe Burrow, who is coming off one of the best college seasons by a quarterback in history

List the college QBs and their stats stats who had better year than Joe Burrow in 2019.

Drafting Joe Burrow first would be like drafting Colt Brennan first. You dont waste a pick on a system QB

We would have to do it per game because he had a lot more games than was historically possible. I haven't done it but I'm just making sure you're not going by totals.

Per snap with a minimum number of snaps may be best. Takes tempo and sitting with leads into account.

System QB is more like Goff, with McVay doing all the pre snap stuff for him. Burrow can actually dissect coverages and blitzes and make a decision on the fly, and he clearly impressed teams with his knowledge at the combine.

It's when you're average in one system (his junior season) but good in a different system (his senior season)

BJ Symons for starters.

Vince Young 05. Dude took snaps in the 4th quarter in less than half of his games that season.

Tebow 07.

Tua had a high TD% in 18 and 19 then Burrow and had the highest QB rating in D1 history this past season.

Ty Detmer had 55 TDs in 11 games back in 1990.
