Those are actual things people have said about Dekker this thread. I like the guy but come on.

The leap for a guy like Dekker is can he play with the same level of confidence in the league? That is the big unknown for guys like him. It looks like he has the tools, but does he have the mind for it?

So many have the tools but don't have the killer instinct or the drive it takes. Plus you gotta have a really short memory

No one has said he can out play LeBron. You're taking one of my posts and spinning it as you see fit.

Yeah, but Dekker is basically 21 and with 3 years of experience. Until last week, he wasn't on anyone's draft board. He really wasn't. I think now he'll go pro though, and he should, since this could be his peak stock.

Sam Dekker has been in the first round on mocks since last season.

I've been really disappointed by staukas' development. I'm not sure if he's going to be a good NBA player

I think people don't realize Dekker was a top 10 player in the country in his recruiting class. It's not like he came out of no where

Yea but would you give up Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, Ryan Anderson, and more for him?

Ahead of guys like Marcus Paige, TJ Warren, Perry Ellis, and Jerami Grant

This thread is bringing all of the idiots out of the woodwork.

Yeah, he was a consensus five-star recruit. Oddly grew two inches in the last year. Measured in at 6-foot-9 at Wisconsin, LeBron James Skills Academy, and Kevin Durant Skills Academy. He was widely regarded as the best player at both camps. Based on tweets and stories from the camps, too, it wasn't particularly close.

He's always been an ultra-talented player and Wisconsin fans have been waiting for him to put it together on a consistent basis. Fortunately for us, he's doing it at the right time.

Despite his lofty status in recruiting rankings, he wasn't heavily recruited by the big players around the nation. I assume, partly, because he committed to Wisconsin so early and there was no way anyone was luring him away.

ETA: Bo Ryan told Dekker during the recruiting process that he was a "once in a 25 year" type player for him.

I don't think there is any way he comes back next year.
