These NBA threads were a lot better when all we had to really worry about was the Harden tangents from Boom

I think the problem is for sports fans is this NBA plan is probably the best chance we have for the big 4 sports because of the bubble environment, fewest number of people involved and all the restrictions they have implemented. If this falls flat, then we're in trouble
I don't know if it's just a vocal minority of twitter folks, but it seems like public pressure to keep things shut down is still high. Djokovic got absolutely demolished for running a tennis tour these last few weeks. Now, it was an exhibition and they weren't doing any protocols, so that may be a large part of it. But, a couple of guys tested positive and now everyone is apologizing for being irresponsible. You're right, we're totally screwed as sports fans if this doesn't work. I think the NBA's problem is only a handful of teams want to be there.

I wonder how many players will go the Bertans route, especially players with past injuries or entering a contract year.
Brandon Ingram comes to mind (although I think he will play).

thing these fear factory soys don't realize is that if we cancel this season. next season is at higher risk
there is never going to be a time in the near future when things are "better"

I think what you fail to see is we all agree witg this. But we are just arguing what they will actually do. I agree with you, it is a fear factory.. it is all media pushed, and they should play.
BUT what i think. And what will actually happen are 2 diff things. I just dont see them playing it out with the way things are right now.

I don't blame the players for being apprehensive about playing during a pandemic, but damn you'd think they could not be so dramatic about the situation.
On another note, Kyrie hasn't been worth as much as he was since he left Cleveland, and the deeper we get into his personal life, the less I like him.

with time, better planning will make things more realistic.

I don't blame Bertans one bit at all for that. You got to capitalize on your best and healthiest season he's had.
He'll forfeit just over $600,000 for the eight games he misses, assuming Washington doesn't advance

Is he a free agent this year?
Would love some Bertans on the clips

wrong Lester.
we have a one city bubble controlled to an extremely high degree with testing everyday.. if this falls through, pro sports are over.
