Yup.. i hope im wrong. But i dont expect any major sports to happen in 2020. Nfl maybe, with no fans can make it work. But ncaa football? Naw its not happening. Going to fn suck

yes it's 100
not cancelling with billions on the line.. much too risky than dealing with flu symptoms on a handful of positive players.
very simple

How much does ncaa basketball tourny bring in? They cancelled with quickness. Nba canceled the rest of their regular season. With wellness of players on the hook in the public eye of todays media, its not happening

I agree. I bet they get going with those final regular season games then a massive Rona outbreak will start then massive panic and cancel saying they tried their best
Hope I'm wrong

I feel like you’ve been saying this was 100% bunch what gives now

No one should underestimate today's media and political environment.
I THINK it will actually happen, but its pretty fragile. It could fall apart with the quickness.

Just seeing things a bit differently given how the players have been acting and talking recently.
It is more fragile than I could have anticipated.

I think the problem is for sports fans is this NBA plan is probably the best chance we have for the big 4 sports because of the bubble environment, fewest number of people involved and all the restrictions they have implemented. If this falls flat, then we're in trouble

Anthony Davis tested negative

Multiple players WILL test positive, that’s almost a given. MLS has had 5 so far (all asymptomatic) and they start on July 8th. The key is having proper isolation protocol in place.
I don't really blame players for thinking it's a pretty shitty deal to go to the bubble without family, etc. I'm sure I'd still do it, there's plenty of things we all do with regards to our jobs that we don't like.
That being said, I'm pretty sure it can be logically argued that the Bubble will be basically the safest place these dudes can be during that time. We know many of them have already been hooping.

btw dude player salaries, CBA, TV contracts, all on the line. much more than NCAA tourney.
billions $$. one month away still and Florida cases will go down so less media will try to scare everyone like yourself into a tizzy

You mean like when they already shut nba down once because a player coughed on a mic? That same nba? Cool

Exactly. Always lying. Mr Perfect says the Lakers Org give him courtside seats as a friends and family deal

That was back in march when the virus was truly novel. Testing wasn’t as available and no protocols in place. I think they did what they had to do then. This will come down to the players and how many are all in. Guess we’ll see over the next couple weeks.
