if they are gonna review this, then they need to make it a 15 yard penalty rather than a spot foul. otherwise, my playbook as a coordinator would have one play: deep ball 3 times in a row. the odds of getting a pass interference call upon review is about 70%.

You’re able to review pass interferences in the NFL now

If they make it a 15 yard penalty my defensive playbook says if the the guy looks like he’s Gianna make a 30 yard catch, interfere, 15 is better than 30.

Coaches can't challenge after the 2 minute warning, which is when most hail mary type plays are called, and during the game they still only have 2 challenge flags.

It might get challenged once a game but to act like it's going to be all the time is quite an over exaggeration

so, it has to be challenged for review or will they review without a challenge in the booth?

i'm curious to see how many "hand checks" will be called as pass interference.

Well yeah, if you want to waste your challenge, go right ahead.

didn't realize it had to be challenged.

but, hand checking has to be allowed no matter what the rule says right?

We shall see soon enough. No one knows until the season starts.

If I had to guess they aren't going to reverse every no call because of a little contact. Probably needs to be something obvious. Like tackling a guy before the ball gets there..

that's gonna be a fine line argument there. obvious to one coach may not be so obvious to another.

It’s a clusterfrick but it had to be done since the refs apparently can’t see what’s happening right in front of them.

I would be okay with this.

If anything, kick someone out of the game if they have a certain number of personal fouls, 2, 3 whatever.

I think the spot foul for pass interference is killing the game

You do realize the vote was carried out by 31 of 32 NFL owners right?

I bet you will see a lot more deep balls on third downs when more 15+ yards are needed.

You can review PI in the CFL and it doesn't go the way you are describing so I'm not sure why you think it will go that way in the NFL.

How exactly does this help us now?

It can’t retroactively rob us of a super bowl

It’s a stupid overreaction to the most egregious blown call in NFL history.
