With the audio tape out, he is done in the NFL. Looking over his bio, he has never coached in college. But it does not seem like much stretch that a college coach might hire him for name recognition.

I doubt a major program wants him. But maybe somebody from the Sun Belt or WAC would take a chance. Otherwise he's stuck at D2 or worse.

yeah i think that's his only bet

regardless of his standing with emperor goodell, he's still a name in the coaching ranks of the NFL

he can probably get guys into the league

he may just retire though

This would be my bet. I have a hard time seeing him coach college ball.

Taking him on would seem to be a huge recruiting liability. Every coach recruiting against him would play that tape for families

I may be one of the few, but I don't really have a problem with his pre-game talk/ rant. I was told the same things when I played in high school. You want to hit people hard, you want to put them out the game, and of course, if you know someone is injured, you go after them. Make their arse quit.

Never with the intent of permanently damaging someone, but you want to knock their best player out of a game, and you want to hit them so hard and often that they think before acting.

If I'm an AD at a school with an opening, I at least bring him in for a talk. Especially, if he has ties to the area.

and then in a year when that kid is involved in that school's bounty program...

If Williams' bounty system only occurred in New Orleans, I would think its a possibility. But seeing as how he has used the system repeatedly, I don't see anyway a college program takes the chance.

I doubt he ever coaches again.

Everyone negative recruits everyone else in college. Does not seem like that much of a problem. They were trying to win a playoff game, simple as that.

That would be dumb on their part, all they would be doing is showing how dangerous it is to play at any school that Greg Williams is NOT at.

This is what I was thinking. It is a positive for recruiting. "Come to my school, or we'll be going after your ACL".

My first thought is that Allenville Penitentiary's guard team could probably use a coach.

If not that,

High school
is a possibility.

If he wants a job and wants to make a difference somewhere, he might try:

Fagaitua High School
Leone High School
Manu'a High School
Nu'uli Polytechnic High School
Samoana High School
Tafuna High School

All in American Samoa.

Otherwise, he should retire.

Maybe, but the amt of criticism that program would get if they hired him soon would be incredible.

That said, he's known the NFL for a lot longer than college ball. I can't really see him going that route.

If your high school coach told you to go blow out another player's ACL then he's a piece of shite too.

This isn't what Greg Williams said. He was way too specific and explicit. Every coach says a variation of what your HS coach said. The consensus is that Greg Williams went a little too far.

You sure about that? I bet people thought Vick was never gonna play again when the dog fighting stuff occurred. People will forget about GW over time.

In 4 or 5 years everyone will forget.

A small college can take him and he'd do fine IMO. HS seniors will have no recollection of this and he can sell them on his NFL experience.
