Depending on how far reaching this goes...who's to say the computer searches were real and not made up evidence or planted. They weren't released till years later and make suicide seem more likely. Everything about this story is crazy...

It should not, and I am African american, but, if true, it really does help put things in perspective as to what happened.

There could be some truth to what you are saying but the average person's inclination RE: pedophilia is often to just refuse to believe or act on what they should have seen
The Catholic church obviously just had their scandal and the victims of abuse for that were more typically white than black
Having said that it seems even more evil to me for a predator to seek out kids who were already likely suffering from low self esteem and family support. This stuff ruins lives

As far as Paterno overlooking it, I'd be curious myself.
As far as the race of the victims go, the only two mothers I've seen so far, whose children were amongst the grand jury victims, were both white.

no way it was a suicide. someone went to way too much trouble to open the laptop and pull out and mangle the hard drive.

That's what I was saying - that doesn't make a lot of sense, the effort he put into it. The suicide normally takes up most of the planning and effort. There are also generally 2 other parts: communcation as to the "why" and some effort to reveal/shield the suicide to the appropriate people (people want a certain person to find them or certain people, normally their children, not to find them).

I'm not reading through 20 pages, but I can see how the red headed coach is getting a pass and not getting fired. If this goes as deep as rich donors, he very well could've done all he could, being put in that kind of situation.

it might not. but, i think it is far more likely to have something to do with it. Heck, the governor is on the Penn State Board of Trustees. If anyone could make this disappear, it would be him.

That's assuming he makes it to trial.
I won't be surprised if he either kills himself or if someone takes a shot at him before it gets to that point.
