Not really. Are you really implying that its worse to sell black boys than other color/race? Seriously?
Like I said, if he was really selling kids as "sex slaves" what real difference does race make? They were kids first and foremost!
Of course it doesn't make the crimes any more heinous. But, it makes him and all of the old white money at Penn State a bunch of racist scum bags. It is just an additional thing to hate about Penn State.

Good, that was my goal.

I don't have time to read through every page, and I'm sure this has been thrown out there already....BUT what are the chances that the powers-that-be offed Gricar's brother to keep him quiet, then had to take care of him years later when they felt he was a liability?

"at-risk" always the media "good word" for black kids
Probably. I would imagine the percentages of "at risk kids" from broken homes is higher for black kids but not all black children are "at risk". I bet that some white/yellow/brown kids are also "at risk"

What's significant about that time frame?

wow. that's really all I can say.
This is why I firmly believe you can overstay your welcome at any one place too long. After you have been somewhere 30 years, you start to think you can literally do antyhing.

2006 - National Organization for Woman call for JoePa to step down
Apparently, Old Joe has a history of not taking sexual assault seriously.
quote:
Paterno’s remarks came a day before the Orange Bowl, when a reporter asked about Florida State linebacker A.J. Nicholson, who was accused of sexual assault and sent home before Tuesday’s game.
Paterno replied by talking about past suspensions of Penn State players. He then added: “There’s some tough — there’s so many people gravitating to these kids. He may not have even known what he was getting into, Nicholson. They knock on the door; somebody may knock on the door; a cute girl knocks on the door. What do you do?”
“Geez. I hope — thank God they don’t knock on my door because I’d refer them to a couple of other rooms,” Paterno continued. “But that’s too bad. You hate to see that. I really do. You like to see a kid end up his football career. He’s a heck of a football player, by the way; he’s a really good football player. And it’s just too bad.”

That's after the PSU-Nebraska game.
If you're going to drop a bomb on the program, better to do it AFTER a game rather than right before it.

Is Penn State even relevant? All they are good for is boosting our SOS for our looming rematch. Any other PSU news is

Gonna need it after Georgia Southern. That's gonna deal a big blow.

Who would have this info? Was it part of grand jury testimony?

Good question.
The info I saw attributed it to a person on the Penn State faculty.
Mark Madden's articles and interviews indicate that he's got a source somewhere in the police, DA's office, or the grand jury.
It could just be smoke and people throwing out stuff which has a decent shot of being right considering the torrent of shite rained down on the program in the past week.

Exactly...a kid is a kid. Who cares about color regarding this story
I agree, but just think what Al Sharpton could bring to the table. He would make the case that this was swept under the rug because they were black kids.
Al and Jesse are all this story is missing.

Fornicola reported her boyfriend missing that night. The next day, Gricar's car was found in a Lewisburg, Pa., parking lot with his cellphone inside. Three months later, fisherman on the nearby Susquehannah River discovered Gricar's county-issued laptop in the water, wedged against a bridge. The hard drive was missing. Three months after that, police found the drive on the riverbank, damaged so badly that no data could be recovered. Four more years would pass before investigators would reveal the internet searches someone had run on Gricar's home computer before his disappearance: "how to wreck a hard drive," "how to fry a hard drive," and "water damage to a notebook computer."
Yeah, man - that makes suicide LEAST likely of the three - Why go through all of that trouble if you're going to kill yourself? Normal suicides WANT the truth to come out (at least as they see "the truth"), they just can't live with the consequences of that.
However, if he was whacked, that makes sense that the evidence was also destroyed. A little too effective a job, though, if the internet searches were actually off of his computer. That leads me more back to the, "He's in hiding somewhere."
Is that totally crazy?
