Than why would Day be going after him?

Is he? I've seen some buzz generated by the kid's agent and some offhand remark by Ryan Clark.

Day knows better than I do, so if he does bring him to Ohio State, I trust that it's the right call.

But right now, I don't see it as our best option or even a good one. I'd take any three of the QBs we currently have for next years roster over Ward.

And OSU plays great teams? The Big 10 outside of 2 teams is arse. I would take the mid to lower Pac12 over the equivalent Big 10 teams.

OSU and WSU have one common opponent this season, Wisconsin. Ward was 20/32 for 211 yards 2 TD's and added 43 rushing yards with no turnovers, while McCord was 17/26 for 226 yards 2 TD's and -20 rushing yards with 3 turnovers (2 INT's and a fumble).

Not even trying to stan for Ward, I just think he is easily a better QB than McCord and would have put up crazy stats with Marvin Harrison Jr this year.

We played three top ten defenses this year. Ward played zero.

We also had a RB go for 162 yards and a TD. As is often the case, Ward's numbers are inflated.

I'm not saying Ward is a bad QB. I just don't think he's a big enough upgrade, if at all.

This is not the flex you think it is.

This doesn't mean anything.

It's a data point.

Sources have told ESPN that Dillon Gabriel is expected to visit Oregon soon, and the Ducks are the favorite for his services. Riley Leonard ND visit starts tomorrow. And three suitors have emerged for DJU. QB portal update from CFB Live with @kelseyriggs.

Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa and Penn State.

The best non-conference matchup of that entire group?
ND who finished 19th in FEI offense.

The rest is all circular based on shutting down the other B10 teams.

The point being we don't know if there is a single truly elite offense in the B10 or just a bunch of really solid defenses feasting on average to horrible QB play.

Safe to say we will know as soon as the bowls are done exactly where things stand:
UM-Bama
OSU-Missouri
Ole Miss - PSU
Wisconsin - LSU
Iowa - UT

Its basically a B10-SEC challenge in the bowls moving forward.

Making a shite show out of college football

It will soon be like college basketball "one and done" where no one knows any of the players on their team.

So what. It was fine when the SEC was claiming to have awesome defenses while giving up 30-40 points in bowl games.

We will? Most of the experimenced talent on these teams will be getting ready for the draft.

We'll know more about next year than this year based on these bowl games.

I bet stepping up to the Big 10 schedule will be a bit much for him playing the likes of:

Indiana
Maryland
Purdue
Wisconsin
Rutgers
Michigan St
Minnesota

Murderers row right there. I’m not sure how OSU went through that gauntlet unscathed this year.
