Splain something to me. Portal opens on the 4th. We have a kid commit to transfer in on the 5th. How is that possible? Are there hushed and whispered conversations going on behind doors days or weeks in advance?

It's totally cool now to tamper and offer money straight out of boosters' pockets. "NIL" is bullshite, it's just straight pay for play now and nobody says anything

I think he ends up there but not sure why he’s taking so long. Its possible he wants to stay until after biwl game just to be able to help in practices (he is high character) and then go.
On the other hand I heard Liberty has scratched together a big deal for him.

He and his family were not happy that Chip threw him to the wolves this year before he was ready. He said he'd be fine sitting another year (likely redshirt).

The portal and kids sitting would help slow it down. For instance you can not transfer within the first two years out of HS without sitting a year. After year 2 you can portal once and play right away. Once you graduate and have remaining years you can portal out one more time.
