@Ken_Rosenthal 1m
One source estimates that lack of state income tax in Texas means #Yankees would have needed to be at $147M to match #Rangers’ $130M.

Very poor comparison.

Career OBP

Shin-Soo Choo .389
Carlos Lee .339 (Career high OBP .368)

7/130 for Shin Soo fricking Choo. Thank God the Astros didn't do it, I was pretty worried we would. In a few more years, most of the AL west is gonna be so decrepit and loaded down with bad contracts, it'll be a two team race between Houston and Oakland.

The Cardinals played the Reds like 19 times last season considering the fact they are in the same division, and you have not the slightest clue who Shin-Soo Choo is.

I posted without really reading. My bad.

choo is a OBP machine, and yes, i'm glad he's gone from Reds.

Prove me wrong. 3 of the 5 AL west teams commited $870,000,000 to 5 guys over the age of 30. Pujols and Hamilton's contracts have already proved to be disasters. Have you looked at Prince Fielder? How many years into his 30s can that fatty maintain physical activity?
