They could potentially earn more money at any Division I school.

The SEC isn’t the only conference out there for players to make money, and the SEC also has every right to act in its own interest. The players aren’t the only stakeholders. It is very clearly not in the schools’ interest to allow this practice, so I don’t see how they can be legally forced to.
The players in question are not significantly limited in their options to play professional football. They are NFL eligible.

Very silly rake to step on by the leagues compared to some of the other suits. All this is from the 5/5 rule the ncaa adopted, they should’ve just given a pass to anyone that fits those parameters and it wouldn’t be an issue after this year. Now you’re creating world war 3 in the courts bc your feelings are hurt. It’s not a Pandora’s box situation
If they wanted to fight this battle they should’ve done all this over the summer when this was first happening. Them drawing this random line on players in training camp vs in spring camp is pretty eye rolling.

Well of course because didn't you know, LSU is the only school doing this.
What a fricking joke. You got talking heads on all levels blabbing about LSU this, Lane Kiffin that.... yet the SEC has a small school (hey TX Longhorns) with a OT that was with 2 different NFL teams. Mizzou has their RB from the Seahawks... pretty sure that's an NFL team.

I get the rule and I dont mind it, but the 5 th year was granted after all of these seniors thought they exhausted all of they're college eligibility.

What’s the big win if this holds up in court? A handful of guys don’t play this year? It’s not something that’s going to matter in a year anyway and the NCAA created this with the late 5/5 ruling
